and that's why you should try to cheat... cause it didn't work

No wonder. They were not turned on. And you should have not done that. I mean look at what this thread has said about it. So the whole FP button thing is kinda pointless since they are all shut down. Right? But I am glad to hear you had a good trip. :)

That button has been on the WDW Fastpass Machines since day 1. While it does require a key, the general laziness of some of the CM's operating it has them leaving 1 machine unlocked for emergencies. Furthermore, most of the machines are kept under video surveillance and monitored, and when people are seen cheating the system, when caught, their penalties can range from a simple having their fastpasses revoked (ALL fastpasses.. not just those gotten illegitimately) to getting kicked out of the park, to having their passes revoked and be trespassed from WDW.

Plus... it's cheating. For every fastpass you get by cheating, one less person can get their fastpass legitimately and go on their attraction. By your act of selfishness, you are denying one person their chance on the attraction.

I couldnt have said it better myself

jeez are we still on this? When I worked, i made sure that the key was not turned so that people could not steal fastpasses...but around the park I've noticed that almost all other attractions keep at least one machine turned (probably for their own convenience).

Maybe CMs are getting smarter (or perhaps the rules at their attractions are getting tighter) and this isn't even going to be an issue anymore.

BTW..I'd love to get my hands on one of those cards DACS has (just like a ticket..but gives unlimited FPs for testing out the machines..ooohh )

The other parks all use rider switchs that are pre printed and pretty easy to steal, while Tower and Rockin switched to printing rider switches daily with the date printed huge in the center.

Anybody care to explain what a "Baby Swap" is. I've heard of it before but I don't know what its all about.

Even if a CM leaves one FP machine un-locked for his/her own conveniance, you have to guess which one it is, and chances are it will be the one that the CM is standing in front of. Even if CMs are not right next to a FP machine, I usually see one lurking in the corner, watching for people messing with the machines. Overall I'd say your chances are pretty slim of getting to that button, and it's certainly not a good idea.

Number one is that I saw the button. It is rather obvious, but you won't get near it, too many CM's. Plus there is no key, and more trouble than its worth. And look in the tips section about the "child swap" it is called the Hail Mary Pass. That should answer all questions.

I worked at a FP attraction back in 2000. When I was at distribution, I would never keep machines unlocked. I would see people occasionally trying to push the button, and get nothing. Haha.

Way back in the thread, someone mentioned searching for the button after all the FPs are gone, and there are no CMs around. It would be kind of hard to snoop around the machines without attracting attention, as all the machines are covered with pretty heavy covers after they shut off for the day. Tearing the covers off would draw attention to you quickly. I don't know why people try so hard to cheat. I guess they think they are more entitled than ALL the other guests in the park. Whatever.

And about Stitch, I read something the other day that Stitch WILL indeed have FP.

Hello Pigtails and welcome to the boards. The Stitch attraction should have a FP available since it is the new thing to hit MK. I hope it does.

Have you not read the consequences in doing this. DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON. Matter of fact, don't even look for it, mention it to anyone, or anything. It won't do you any good, just harm. If you want to risk it and get kicked out of the park and lose all your privelages in the World, then be my guest. Just let me remind you, you've been warned...plenty of times now.

With that said, have a magical time!

I had never noticed this "button" before I visited Disneyland. I was in the Haunted Mansion fastpass area, somewhat separate from the attraction. I saw the button and I don't know call it stupidity, had to find out what it did. I was hoping for some neat HM sound effect and out popped you know what. I was ecstatic, there was no real line at the attraction, I was taking pictures around the grounds. I was just happy to have a "souvenir" for my scrapbook. I'm ashamed to say that I wasn't thinking about the "cheating" aspect of this and tried again at BTMR to no avail. As I was leaving a CM politely and curtly explained that the button was turned off, I thanked him and apologized profusely. I got off VERY easily apparently, so please don't push your luck or stupidity (as I did)! :)

You could press the button, and risk the very likely possibility of getting your admission revoked.

Or, you could just put your ticket in the slot and get a Fastpass, and the most you risk is a papercut!

Hmm... I don't bother trying to find the button, then risking by ticket by pressing it, which is then followed by having to slip past the CM checking Fast Passes...

I just print them off of my computer :lookaroun
