I just came back from my first ever football game, my school's Homecoming game. And, as the geek I am, it was only because i was the pre-game/halftime show with various incarnations of the school band. I don't think I've ever screamed more for things I don't understand in my life. We did, however, win....I think, I left partway through the fourth quarter. Anyway, who else has Homecoming games around now and/or has a similar dork problem? Support is good!

I only go to my school's games to watch the band...its not a marching band like...an actual COOL band lol...who needs fancy matching outfits and color guard?

On a serious and sad note, my old High School was supposed to have our Homecoming tonight, but one of our students/Homecoming Queen candidates was involved in a terrible car accident where she was severly burned and the Homecoming Queen of another local school sadly died in the accident. It's been a pretty big deal in this small community so we pushed our Homecoming back. This just goes to show how fragile life really is.

I got back from my school's homecoming game a few hours ago. It was an awful game. We lost 38-7. Our varsity and J-V teams are pretty bad, but our Freshman team is 6-0 so far! :D

Well...when the football team is known more for losing than anything else, and the band is winning awards left and right...the choice is obvious :lol:

Lol, me and my friends are guilty of this as well. We all had to get out of band this year because of the practice schedule did not work with our HW amounts, so we go to the games to watch the band and mess with them. We plan to bring our instruments one game and play along with the band :lol:

Our Homecoming is this Friday, and you can bet that I won't be in attendance. I don't care for sports, and especially not for our crappy team. I feel sorry for my friends in band, because they have to go to the football games every Friday, and they all hate going.

We've had two homecomming games at my school, and I pretty much have to go because I'm in the marching band. :D Or I'll get an F... We've had some really good half time routines though. Not too many people leave when we perform half time or post game.

As for our football team, its the best team we've had in years! Last game we beat Lafayett 56 to 14!

The cheerleaders at my school aren't very hot though. For some reason, the pomey squad girls are SMOKIN hot compared to the regualr cheerleaders. I don't know why that is. :veryconfu

BTW, eight year old cheerleaders?! :lol: I find that hilariouse for some reason. :lol: :hammer:

Proud Band Geek for 4+ years! We always had fun at football games, who cares about what everyone else thinks. Some of the best times of my life. BTW I still don't understand the rules of football really. LOL

I go to a high school with -get this- NO FOOTBALL team!

We don't have cheerleaders either (but we do have a step squad) or a marching band.

I can also say, that as a senior in high school, I've never been to a homecoming.
