TINKERBELL,

WOW, I love that song they play on the TV's in the hotel room. It's a Zip a Dee Doo Dah...... Tip for Today. I love listening to that. I wish I could listen to a clip of it on the internet. When I hear that I know I am at my hotel room at Disney World. There is another one I thought they played too on the Tv's With the Zip a dee doo dah song, but I can't think of it. When you brought that up I really felt like I was back on my trip the last time. Living it up in one of the Mansions in Port Orleans Riverside. I could just smell the smell of the rooms and could see everything in my mind just as it was. Oh Gosh you make me wanna go back. Don't you guys have the hardest time trying to decide which resort to stay at when you go? I love ALL of them and have the hardest time trying to decide. I wish I could just stay in all of them at the same time. This time we are going to stay in the Cabins in FW. I have stayed in them once before. They are really nice I think.

Wow, this is going to sound redundant but TinkerBell, I thought I was the only one. I am 17 now, but I was once in that place where everyone thinks you're crazy, hell, people still think I am. I can get into a conversation for hours, and friends and their families ask for my help to plan their vacations. I think it's quite an honor. When you Wish Upon a Star, Spectromagic, The Finale to Reflections of Earth (not "We go on" but the one just prior to that) and the new Share a Dream Come True songs all do it for me. :( Ahhh. I'm about ready to go right now. I just got back and I sit here in my room tearing up wanting to go back cuz (pardon the language) Oregon Sucks major . Anyone in the orlando area willing to rent out a room to a college-bound Senior?

I too have been a huge fan of WDW since I was a kid. I am now 30 but everyone still sees me as like 21 or so because I have a young heart!

My enthusiasm (sp) for WDW has made several hours of conversation with strangers who have been before and some who have not. Even some close friends think I'm too crazy for Disney that sometimes they get irratated. But I forgive them because most of them have never been to a Disney Theme Park.

I think that being a huge Disney nut is what landed me my job with The Disney Store. It is so cool to finally share the same dreams with my fellow CM's about Disney. We test each others' knowledge on a daily basis and each one of us has a specialty area we like. For me it's WDW and especially the HM. For others it's the animation. Still others it's just the history of the company. CM's know to fetch me when a guest is asking about tickets and information on WDW. I love it! I just wish I had more time with guests to really let them in on some cool magic as I have expierienced!

If you can, and if you are a nut like me, try to work for Disney. Even in the stores! I have been promoted to a Lead Role (or an assistant manager) and I will be moving to Orlando to work at WDW in November doing... well, a very special job!

Don't wait! Make your dreams come alive now!

All the time, the music sends me back to WDW in my mind. The commercials on tv .. I can not control the tears. There is the excitement like now when we are so close to going again, I know people want me to shut up about going to WDW, but I just cant .. I become a babblering idiot. Normaly I dont talk about things to people I dont know ..but when it comes to WDW .. I tell complete strangers when we went last, when we are going again. I walk around singing songs from the tiki room, COP, the CBJ, and POC. I am always wearing a WDW t-shirt. and ... well here is the real thing I think makes me over the edge when it comes to DisneyItis,
I dont think of the charactors as really being people in costumes.

Hey, Tink!
I feel exactly the same way! Even some things in this website make me want to cry... I posted a thread entitled "Does anyone feel the same way?" when I felt sad and needed some support, and someone cheered me up and sent me some "Disney memories", like the smell of popcorn and chocolate cookies at Main Street, and the monorail sound "Please stand clear..." I was sooooooo happy! I felt the same way, had to put my head down and cry.... It is definetely DisneyItis... But I don't think I want to find a cure for this...

Kisses from Brazil!

Is this that free vacation video you order at disney.com? You are lucky to be american!!! They do not ship this video to Brazil, I have already begged them to send one to me and they said they couldn't. I fell so sad! I would love to watch that video!

Well said Raven. I am a PT CM (my FT job pays too much to leave)at an outlet for the Disney Catalog. I took the job for the same reason. I was amazed to find out that most of the other Cast Members were as obsessed as I was.

We are also considering a move to Florida in the near future. Good luck in your move.

Well, Tati, I can make copies for you, if you want. I have two of them, one being from the 100 years party, and they are wonderful. I always get misty-eyed when I watch them...

Also, tears come up when I listen to the parade songs, and Frontierland area music, because it reminds me of my CM time... But you want the biggest simptom of all? I already long for a parade that I have only listened to the music!! :p Seriously, I have Share a Dream Come True in the computer, and it's really touching, specially with that talk between Peter and Tink...

With the cold days still here i have built many fires, and each time i do i flashback to Spaceship Earth when Rome was burning. I have talked many times to my family and friends about there has got to be a way to "bottle up" those fantastic Disney smells we have all experienced. The Haunted Mansion & POC are still some of my favorites.......

It really sucks when you talk about these things with some of your friends who dont get it or simply haven't had the chance to experience it. They laugh at me, and I tell them I don't care. I also tell them I wish they had the chance to experience when they were younger and then grow up with it.

Tell me about it! For my husband's B-day in Feb. a friend of ours invited us to her boyfriend's B-day Party (both him & my hubby have the same B-day) So I told her, "Sorry, he wants to go to Disney for his B-day & we already booked the cabin" Her b.f. was real bummed we weren't going to make it. She asks me... "DISNEY? Why are you going to DISNEY?" So I told her, "You just don't understand!" :brick: But she thought it was the silliest idea "of all places!" that we were going to Disney for his B-day. :veryconfu I mean, what better place to spent your B-day at??? Come on!!!

*WE LEAVE TONIGHT!!!* :sohappy:

Don't feel so strange! I'm so glad I found people that I can share this with! People at school think I need to be in an insane asylum, and they always say "Shes going to Disney AGAIN???" It doesnt bother me anymore. Just think of it as we being the "special ones", if you know what I mean (you probably do). Its different when youre an adult and you have it, but when youre our age, its so "wierd" to everyone else. I also think of it as an honor.
I can strike up a conversation with any castmember in WDW, and sometimes when we talk about Disney stuff, I know more than them... sry CMs! I swear, I beleive Walt would be smiling if he saw us, crying at songs, missing WDW so much. Its because we appreciate it.
We will probably never know why we feel like this, I dont! But I dont care. I love WDW in a way that other people never can. And I'm damn proud of it. :) (sry for that word...)
For a while, I thought I was the only one, but now Im glad I know its not just me.

Tinkerbell, first off let me say that you can call me Tony instead of Disneyfreak, that is my name after all. I hear DisneyFreak enough in a day. But I don't really care at all. I am printing out what you wrote so whenever I wake up on the wrong side of bed, I can look at that and cheer up a little. Thanks for the boost!

TinkerBell, I feel the same and I am (ahem) a bit older than you are! Nothing, but nothing, is as magical as a trip to WDW. Sometime I find myself looking at my watch at work and thinking, "If I were at Disney right now, I'd be on line for Splash Mountain!" Gets me through the days.

AHH YES DISNEYITIS...I BELIEVE THE FULL CORRECT DIAGNOSIS IS DISNEY EUPHORIA SYNDROME. ONLY THE TRUE DISNEY DEVOTED POSSESS THIS GENE. AND ANY LITTLE STIMULUS (SMELLS,SOUNDS, CLOTHING YOU WERE LAST WEARING AT A REALLY GOOD DINNER AT CALIFORNIA GRILLE, ETC) CAN TRIGGER UNCONTROLLABLE HAPPINESS INSIDE ONESELF. I'VE BEEN RESEARCHING THIS AFFLICTION ON MYSELF AND SO FAR THE ONLY KNOWN AILMENT REMEDY IS TO GET TO DISNEY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!! P.S. TONIGHT IS DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ADJUSTMENT ......SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS ??????? 1 MORE HOUR CLOSER TO DISNEY!
