This is probably old news...if it is please forgive me. I did a search and couldn't find it anywhere else. I just got off the phone with DVC and they told me that they just got the email this week that you can now buy park tickets and annual passes at the concierge desk of all the resorts. You can also trade in vouchers for tickets purchased online. The only thing you can't do is renew a pass. I had read on here several months back that you could do that at Animal Kingdom, but that it wasn't yet possible at other resorts. This week they apparently added all resorts! Makes my life a lot easier, I can just trade in all our AP vouchers at our hotel and skip the step of doing that at the parks.

I'm with you guys, I don't understand why it has taken so long. I have fretted over exactly where I need to exchange my voucher, and been worried that it would be a hassle. I am so excited that we can just do it all in one place now!

Guest Services would have been the best option, other than the will call windows... The first year I owned an AP, I drove down to WDW that year... Before heading to our resort, I drove into DTD and went to guest services to turn in the voucher... I did the same thing a year later, this time coming into WDW via Amtrak... I had my friend drive us into DTD to cash in the voucher for the AP renewal often wondering why concierge couldn't do this for me, especially since they were able to print out my Hoop Dee Doo Review tickets...

Now, if Disney would just allow for ALL annual passholders to choose the option of paying monthly instead of one lump sum, then they would really be making strides... (P.S. I know florida residents have this option, but all AP holders should get this option as well)

Think you can also pick up MNSSHP tickets that you've ordered from DVC member services at concierge as well? How about TIW cards? I'd definitely like to avoid the will call line at the MK on the first day of my trip.

Hmmm....I don't know about those. Didn't you have your MNSSHP tickets mailed to you? that's what I always do. I'd just call guest services, or the main desk at your resort, and ask there.

Yes you can buy annual passes at any of the resorts. You can also get them printed on the plastic kttw key. You can't use the monthly payments though. You have to buy it outright to get them at the resorts.

Seriously? I didn't realize that so this makes me quite happy! :sohappy:

I didn't know that you couldn't do this before. We'd always purchased APs at the parks, and when my Mom travelled with us, we got her park passes at the concierge desk. I assumed you could buy any tickets at the resort concierge desk if you wanted, but this was not the case?

I called Wilderness Lodge front desk 3 months ago and they told me that option was only available at one or two of the resorts. Not Wilderness Lodge. Since that's where we always stay, it's definitely an improvement for us!!!

But just to clarify and make sure I understand, your AP will still be on a different KTTW-type card, not your KTTW for that stay, right? So you still have your normal KTTW with your room key and meal plan and charging privileges, then a second one that is your AP.

Correct, up until now you couldn't get an AP at the resorts. The problem came from the fact that the front desk and park ticketing ran two totally different systems. They were able to cross-connect some admission media, but not all of them.

It sounds like they've been working on these ticketing issues for a while now. For the longest time the special 14-day and 21-day tickets that UK residents could buy at home couldn't be encoded onto room keys. But that changed a year or two ago. Now it seems like they've finally got everything working together.

I got my AP at The Contemporary back in Feb. If I had known you guys didn't know this already I would have posted. And I can confirm that they are indeed on plastic(which is why we went there). It is just like the room keys but says AP info instead.

I've got to warn you though you can not get your Tables of Wonderland pass at the resorts so you would have to go to the parks to get it. I don't know if this happens for everyone but we had to surrender the AP that had the ToW linked to it and get a paper AP in return. They said so it doesn't confuse the waiters/waitresses that you want to charge to your room(since it looks like a room key). I have had issues with mine when trying to apply AP discount at WoD. I had them swiping it and saying "Sorry, you can not charge on this card" when I had JUST told them that I want to get the AP discount. There have been times(especially with foreign CMs) where we have had to explain to them in several different ways that no, this is an AP not a room key. Even in some cases taking the card and having to point at the "Annual Passholder" text when they argued and thought that I was the one who didn't know what I was talking about. Might seem like a minor convenience to you but when you are there for 1.5 months it gets really old and frustrating.

What would be the best place to add a pre purchased park ticket to a KTTW card? Or can you do that? I am adding a person the the room ressie only on arrival for four days and bought a discount 5 for 3 day ticket via my employer.
