I remember seeing this when it first aired. All the boasting that went on makes me think about the people who bragged that the Titanic was "unsinkable". Truly sad.

EE is still a great coaster with an immersive story whether or not the yeti is waving his arms around.

I agree 100%. It's still a great experience from the queue to the ride itself but it's just a shame that all that time, effort and money went into something that doesn't work. In spite of all this though, DAK is my second favorite WDW park after MK. I love them all, warts and all.

I agree it's still a great coaster. DH and I rode it 6x in one day last month. I came off smiling and laughing every time, ready for another ride.

I was however, at the time, wearing my DiscoYeti t-shirt. I think it's a shame that so many of the ride's effects, including and especially the Yeti have been broken for YEARS without being fixed. If you watch those promo videos and if you rode the coaster back when it worked, you know that the Yeti was built to be the climax of the ride. It really was a jaw dropping experience.

Does it make it bot worth riding? Obviously I don't think so, but I really feel something is missing and I can't wait for TDO to get their act togeter and fix it.

Wow this is so sad. How did we get here? Where most think it's completely acceptable for a ride's headlining effect to be broken indefinitely without repair. How shameful.
