"Fixed" (AKA Screen with a projection)
Yep. Disney's new, high-tech solution for everything from attractions to fireworks shows. Yippeeeeeee!

Me tooI'd love to think that my avatar would finally change. I mean no disrespect to the OP but we've heard this same type of thing for.. holy crap, is it like 10 years now?! I would not doubt EE going down for a much needed refurb but I fear that we'll never see the original Yeti with its original motion ever again. I hope I'm wrong.
The fireworks will launch from underneath your seat just as you pass the yeti, thereby distraction you from the fact it's still not moving. They call this "Super-B" mode.Yep. Disney's new, high-tech solution for everything from attractions to fireworks shows. Yippeeeeeee!
This is exactly what they should do. Remove the AA entirely and hire the Henson company to design a giant puppet for a tiny fraction of what they paid for one of the biggest wastes of budget in Disney history. Have a couple of performers take turns in shifts providing the Yeti's motion. Play it up as "A different experience every time!" It could be 100% better than it's ever been. At this point, no one cares if it's an AA, a projection or a puppet. Just make it *effective.*On an unrelated note, insider-sources claim Disney is accepting applicants for a new entry-level cast member position. "Puppeteer skills encouraged but not required."

The only waste was the waste of time in the last ten years not fixing it.This is exactly what they should do. Wasn't there like a complete interview with one or two of the creators of the Yeti a few years back right after AK opened? I feel like the creators themselves put so much time and thought into making the Yeti look realistic, well...into the effect at least. I guess the engineering went way over their heads.
Thanks Yoda. Hopefully this will put to rest a lot of additional posts. There are a number of promotional videos that Disney put out stating that the Yeti, the mountain and track support structure are separate and do not interact with each other.
We also know that the Yeti was installed after the mountain was built.
Lastly, it has been confirmed by multiple sources that the yeti has been fully removed at least once.
Or in designing and installing it in such a way as for it to be constantly declared "unfixable."The only waste was the waste of time in the last ten years not fixing it.
Oh how I wish that were true. Thanks Yoda. Hopefully this will put to rest a lot of additional posts.
The installation is not a problem. Internal finger pointing seems to be a very big issue.Or in designing and installing it in such a way as for it to be constantly declared "unfixable."
It is my understanding that internal finger pointing represents 8 of the top 10 reasons why the Yeti still remains broken. The installation is not a problem. Internal finger pointing seems to be a very big issue.
The only reason it isn't fixed is because they do not want to fix it.Or in designing and installing it in such a way as for it to be constantly declared "unfixable."
