Got myself another strange unlabeled envelope simply adressed to "dreggs" today in the mail....last time this happened I was unfortunate enough to recieve a copy of the new linkin park tragic album called "meteora"..

Todays arrival is yet another disaster....the new Marilyn Manson album..."Golden age of Grotesque"...the CD came as a "test press" (no cover art or inside notes)....

Out of every last track on this album..only ONE is actually tolerable (i actually kinda like this one song)...and by no small coincidence its the first single from the album...its called "mObscene"...i dunno..the cheerleader chant worked into the middle is kinda catchy...

Every other track isnt worth the disc its printed on...sadly...i can now see why twiggy left the band ;)

..add to that the new manson arrogance..and you got yourself yet another craptacular purchase....cd is available everywhere mid may...dont waste your time.

The only album of his that I liked was the Mechanical Animals album...it wasn't the "Dark" "Antichrist Superstar" style...it had more "beat" to it.

Other than that album... :hurl:

This is more melodic and VERY different from a majority his older stuff..the first single is kinda catchy...in that "pop-goth" sort of way (sorta like how he always has ONE song on each album that lures people into buying it)..the rest is just...uh....painfull?

In an interview in Revolver Magazine Manson says he was trying to make a more listener friendly album...something that more people would be able to get into. He's trying to win over the MTV masses lol.

So far the only song I have ever liked from Marilyn Manson is Down in the park and that`s not even his song!
