Yet another DME question. (refresh my memory)

We're leaving this Friday the 23. I'm planning on just picking up our bags rather than putting the DME tags on them. Once I claim my luggage I need to go to the DME counter right? After that I just bring my bags to the bus with me correct?

I just want to be sure about all this. Otherwise I'm liable to drive my self nuts. :lol:
