This Stinks!

I have some major problems with this new "Celebration"
Forget the stupid thing! I can't believe anyone would be dumb enough to go to WDW soley (sp?) on this marketing. It stinks! There is really nothing new, the only reason people are going to go is because they didn't go to the 50th and they were planning on going already. The 50th actually gave you a reason to go. This is nothing more than Disney saying, ok, the celebration is over, we are going to be cheap now and not put anything new in our parks for the next 5 years. Go ahead and come though becuase you don't know any better. Or you just love our parks and you're goint to come anyway.

I predict Disney attendance will drop this year. I think they should save their money on marketing and update Space Mountain. Am I the only person that thinks it is dire need of a major overhaul? Not to mention that by putting in this new Monsters Inc. attraction they just sold Tomorrowland over as pixarland. If it is anything like what I'm expecting it's going to be, I might just burn it down with STITCH!:fork: :fork: :fork: Disney! Can't you use your imagination anymore? Come up with somthing original! (like the timekeeper or AE) O, and why do we need 2 nemo attraction?:veryconfu :veryconfu :veryconfu
I'm also guessing that this pretty much means we won't be seeing Epcot's 25 as anything other than a date.

Please don't get me wrong. I LOVE DISNEY! I the bigest disney fan I know. I just got back from a week long vacation there. (this past trip being our 5th since 2000)I just hate to see them do another facade celebration that means absoutely nothing. Even more so, I hate to see them put these cheap attractions in ( with the seas as the exception). I guess the only way to fix my problem is to go take over . Which I will do someday:animwink:

Wow, either you can't read, or you decided not to read, all of the stuff they'll be doing with this celebration.

I think you need to find 10 more things to complain about...oh wait, why don't we make it 25 or even 30. 10 just seems too easy for someone like you.

Geez, if you're 21, grab a drink and RELAX. If not, consider asking mother or father for a trip to the local doctors office for some advice on your anger.

the celebration is a PLUS+, everybody complains about not enough PLUSSING+, so they did it. Not only do you get to go to disney -- you may get free stuff on top that you normally wouldn't get.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT. If you are going and don't want the free stuff DON'T ACCEPT IT. PERIOD. NO MORE COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM GIVING YOU FREE STUFF. THAT'S JUST DUMB. As far as NEW RIDES -- new attractions the past few years are coming up at a faster rate then ever (execept when new parks open) at one point it was an attraction every 3-4 years. Now were getting at least 3-4 a year -- as is stated in the release. this year -everest, nemo1/nemo2. that's 3. what more could you want?

The press release states:

The company said each park will also celebrate its own events and milestones, including the 15th anniversary of Disneyland Resort Paris and the 25th anniversary of Tokyo Disney Resort.

I would surmise that includes EPCOT's 25.

Is anyone else having trouble with the sweepstakes form. It keeps telling me the zip code I used is invalid, which I know....iSN'T.

So do they just randomly hand stuff out to park guests? Would there be any benefit to me using my annual passes everyday and dressing my boys up as princesses? Seriously I like the concept....I just wonder if the people who can visit every day have an unfair advantage....not that I would go everyday...I swear!

If it starts this October and goes to next October, that lines it right up for Epcot's 25th to kick off October 2007. It works.

I like it!

I love it. I think the concept is magical, and the focus on "Dreams Come True" is such a great way of highlighting what Disney does best as compared to other theme parks (which tend to focus on thrill-ride experiences, not dreams or magic).

Extra bonuses for random guests? How cool! Yeah, obviously this means that everyone won't get one, but that's the whole point. It's an extra special thing that can increase the sense of wonder and magic at the parks.

One thing that's always made WDW so special to me is the little "extras" that many guests will never experience, but when you do experience them, it's magical! Things like Magical Moments certificates, riding in the parade, sitting up front in the monorail, towel animals at your resort, running into PUSH in Tomorrowland, and so on. Some of these are things you can make happen, but many of them aren't. That's the joy of it! :king: And if it weren't for internet forums, most of us who hadn't experienced them would never know that we had missed anything. But I would never want Disney to stop adding in random perks for guests, because they're very cool.

To top it off, there's apparently some new in-park technology of some sort on the way (cool!) and several major new attractions. I will never understand how people can work so hard to track down information on rumored attractions before they're announced, and then complain once they are announced because they weren't surprised. It's like the kid who peeks at all of his presents the week before his birthday, and then complains on his birthday because there wasn't anything else.

I like this theme better than the HCOE. I'm looking forward to these attractions. And I'm eager to see how they're going to fulfill these dreams. (It would be cool if it happened when people came into the parks... imagine if one out of every 64 people around you at WDW all day had just found out that they won something. I think it would lend an extra sense of fun and excitement to the experience.)

-p.b.

I'm intrigued by what isn't being said yet. The Golden FP - What exactly is it? The night in the castle or penthouse - How will they choose?

I like the concept that big and little things are being done for guests. My only complaint [and it isn't so much a complaint as a disappointment] is that the sweepstakes is only for U.S. residents... I'd love to see a worldwide sweepstakes.

I'm eager to see what, if anything, happens for me and DS11 in February! And not knowing if we'll even get anything, I like the "hope" of it!
