Year of a Million Dreams Fast Pass

There is potentially an outrageous number of times and locations that YoAmD cast members will distribute the Dream Fast Pass.

Has anyone thought about tracking times and locations to potentially predict where they might appear and at approximately what time?

For example I know several friends that have visited the MK and have all seen the Dream Fast Pass distributed from Goofy's Barnstormer from park opening for 30 minutes.

The possibilities are not limitless, there will eventually have to be a pattern correct?

Thoughts, anyone want to help me track and potentially predict.

Yes it takes a piece of the magic out of it, but...I want my Dream Fast Pass :sohappy::lol:

No pattern. There are thousands of locations around property where things can be awarded, and the computer chooses random times to give them out. So, there's no predicting when or where they will be given out. It's not like they have a list where they cross off each location and then start back at the top of the list.

It's not necessarily a pattern, but I had noticed when in the MK (and possibly in the other parks), when they hand out the Dream Fast Passes, they hand them out on rides that do not have Fast Passes. This makes sense, because why would you award a MK Fast Pass to Space Mtn. riders? Wouldn't some of them think, "Hmm. I just got off Space Mtn.?" I had noticed that the RailRoad was hit quite a few times, but that's just me;)

Not always the case. I've heard of an entire Library full of Guests at Tower of Terror winning, as well as an entire truckload at Kilimajaro Safaris. (Though offhand I'm not sure if it was FastPasses or Mickey Ears, as they're both given out is larger numbers at one time)

Locations could be debatable (fast pass vs non fast pass). All that I have seen have been non fast pass.

I think times would definately fall into a traceable category.

Who would want a dream fast pass at 1pm, when half of the day is already gone....

Actually, this could be an ideal time to receive a Dream FastPass... Imagine arriving late to a park on a busy day, and finding that all of the regular FastPasses are either all gone or they're hours in the future...
Then someone walks up and gives you a Dream FastPass.....

I have to agree that by early in the day, you see them floating around....:lookaroun I guess it pays to get to the parks early:ROFLOL:(Not that we wouldn't already be there at opening!)

I think that the dream fastpasses are given out early so that you can use them. ( before 11:00 am) We saw them given out at the same place 3 different times in 2 trips but I think that was very accidental. The third time we got them. :D

We got ours as we were coming off of the Maharajah Jungle Trek in DAK at about 10:00 A.M. Kept them as souvenirs as the crowds were pretty light that day.

What are these passes? Sorry new at this.

The Dream FastPasses are prizes in the current "Year of a Million Dream" Giveaway (the giveaway ends at the end of the year). At random computer-chosen times and places, Dream Squad Cast Members will award prizes to Guests. There are some big-ticket prizes like Disney Cruises, vacations, even DVC memberships.

But most of the prizes given out are either Mickey ears (they're decorated with blue and white clouds and silver ears and can only be obtained by winning them) or the Dream FastPasses. Typically these two prixes are given out in larger quantities to groups. Some previous examples are one library full of Guests on Tower of Terror, one truckload on the Safari, or the first xx number of people who entered the One Man's Dream exhibit at the Studios after a certain time.

The FastPasses are good for that day only, and only for the park that you won it in. It's a large plastic card on a lanyard with tabs that pull off. There's one tab for each FastPass attraction in the park. There are no times on the tickets, you just use it whenever you want, so it's essentially one instant FastPass for each attraction. (And as some have said, on very slow days in the park, sometimes the FastPasses aren't necessary)

We just came back from WDW and got awarded the Fast Passes in Animal Kingdom, it was in those little side walkways where people don't normally go, because they just go for the big stuff. It was where the pink flamingos were. It was about an hour after the park opened. They were for the Safari, Dinosaur, primevil, the rapids, a bugs life and the rollercoaster. Hope this helps.

I worked at GMR and saw a lot of prizes won. They do the fastpasses and Mickey ears but I've also see nights at the Castle and VIP dinners won as well. They usually do these things in the mid-morning/early afternoon...

Well...it really doesn't matter where they give them out....it matters where they come FROM...

Let that be a CRUCIAL HINT. Thanks to my observations...look how many DFP's I have won personally. You guys have the time of day correct. Early in the morning. I don't know how it works in WDW, but at Disneyland...oh so easy.

I personally hate dfp as we missed out on them about 4 times by a few people as well as a couple of other prizes too :( oh well, I think it was the second time and me and my dad were in the queue for tot and we were in the lobby just before you go through the turnstile to go into the library and we were two people away from getting them as the man stopped us as the right hand one was full and then directed us to the left hand library and when we emergeg in the boiler room all the peopl infornt of us had dfp which were the people from the right hand library. I can't remember the other locations one was at dak and epcot I think but can't remember exactly where.
