Just called to see if I could get an ADR at Yak & Yeti. Still can't make one, but at least this time I didn't get "huh, what's that?".

Schussler Creative and Landry's, best known on property for the Rainforest Cafe, will build an approximately 17.000 square foot two story restaurant. This will be the first Operating Participant to operate a dining facility within the Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Geographically, the restaurant will be located in the mythical town of Anandapur, a small, poor, rural village in the Himalayan foothills, just steps away from the new Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain attraction. The grand old house of one of Anandapur's wealthiest merchants has been converted to this fine indoor dining experience featuring his collection of artifacts including statues, fine tapestries and 900 pound, gold inlaid silk puppets. The outdoor seating area will be set amongst lush greenery, authentic artifacts, fountains and a sacred lingham stone river. This Asian-fusion establishment will offer table-service dining, a full service bar, as well as quick-service food and beer garden options, along with retail offerings from Pan Asia ranging from silk purses, incense and saris to fine teapots. It will seat 250 inside for table service dining and 350 in their quick service courtyard.

Sorry I did not see this before, but is this a trend? I was not aware that this was a non-Disney restaurant...

I hope that Disney is not starting a trend of farming out restaurants within the parks. The new Four Seasons hotel and Western Way properties is bad enough!
