Yacht or Beach Club?

My family loves to stay at the Yacht Club. But a lot of people seem to like the Beach club. Which do you like better & why?

We like the atmosphere of the Yacht Club. The lobby is so pretty and classy, the rooms are cute, and the service is very good. Not to mention the pool and restaurants (but, both of the hotels share those).

yacht for me. Nothing against kids, but there seems to be LOTs of loud ones at BC.
We stayed at Yacht Club in September and loved it. The Beach Club has more if a family friendly vibe and since we don't have kids, it was a no brainer.

Plus, the pics I've seen of Beach Club rooms make it seem very "Grandma Duck" in terms of decor.

But Beach is closer to EPCOT, so there's that......

IMHO, that is due to having Cape May Cafe just off the lobby.

The Beach Club Marketplace and it's proximity to Epcot give Beach Club a slight edge for me, although Yacht Club is a very close second.

We love the YC. We first stayed at the BC and the BW and said we wouldnt stay at the YC. We thought it felt "stuffy." Boy were we wrong!!! Its a great resort. You get the same pool as BC without all of the lobby noise and hustle and bustle. Cape May cafe keeps the BC side busy. It really is a totally different feel on the YC side. We spent last Christmas at the YC and we will be there again in 51 days. Also spent parts of our last two summers there. The staff has always been great (Eric at Bell Services is a favorite of ours). If I'm picking its not even close. YC for me! (Even though Ive said all that, I still love the BC and BW, too)

We have stayed at both and, although YC is very nice, we prefer BC. We like being close to Epcot, obviously the pool is good for both, we love Beaches & Cream and the Marketplace. Beach Club has a nice relaxing vibe too. The lobby is nice too.

We have also stayed at BC and are curious as to what you mean by this?
Again, I've only seen photos, and have never seen a room there in person, but in the pictures, everything looks frilly and precious, as if it was decorated by a little old lady. Kind of like a New England Bed and Breakfast. Nothing wrong with that, but not for us. Or maybe the pics I've seen are not a proper representation of the space.

I love the BC and can't wait to stay there again...so far best WIFI of all resorts..but that is not the only reason I love it...I love the porch over by the yacht club...neither lobby area of either resort has ever been a hang out for me like the POLY or the GF or AKL.... seems like my walk from the YC to Epcot would be a few more steps...which might not be a bad thingo_O

Do a search on this topic and you'll find other posts asking the same question, but my opinion never changes on this matter. For us, the Yacht club has better ambiance, an excellent steakhouse, is quieter, and has exceptional staff!

Well, we own at BCV, so we always stay at Beach. I don't really care, though. If my family weren't DVC, I'd honestly stay wherever's cheapest.

Beach Club for me is kind of home-away-from-home. There are CMs who work there who know me by name. One of them who works in Marketplace saw me and gave me an enthusiastic hug and said, "I'm so glad you're here! I love seeing you every year!" It was so sweet and I'm going to see if I can find her in January even though I'm not staying there. Hopefully she's working the night I go to Cape May...that and last time I was in line and she was getting ready to open another cash register, tapped me on the shoulder and brought me to the front of the line, saving me about 10 minutes. That woman is great!
