Wich do you guys prefer and why? I know they are the sister resorts, but does one seem to be better than the other and why?

Just curious! Thanks!

I've stayed at both, and while I think you can't really go wrong with either choice, I'm going to give the edge to the Beach Club (but that may be because I go for the more beachy, laid-back vibe in my resorts.) :)

I will say, though, that I don't think I have stayed in the resort portion of the Beach Club, so it's not an exact comparison for me -- our family has DVC at the Beach Club so when we go we always stay at the Villas.

Stayed in both multiple times, but I have to say that Beach Club is my favorite. The vibe in the lobby is more different and you're walk to Epcot is that much closer.

Have stayed Beach Club 2x and Yacht Club 6x. Hands down we all prefer Yacht Club.

The Yacht Club quiet pool is always empty b/c of its secluded location.
Beach Club is filled with screaming, ornery kids with parents who don't always tend to their screaming youngsters running amock throughout the hallways. You can tell Beach Club is meant to be more kid friendly--the carpets and room fixtures contain characters from Little Mermaid. I do not like that, it seems to dumb down the whole grandness of the Resort.

There has been no character intrusion over at Yacht Club. Still feels like a turn of the century nautical grand Hotel, wheres Beach Club now feels like a Resort on Disney Property.

98% of YC rooms have large, full balconies; majority of BC has standing room only balconies.

Beach Club is, however, closer to the quick service food places and Epcot. But Yacht Club is not far away.

Yacht Club easily wins.

I have not stayed at either, yet. However the yacht Club just seem more classy to me and would be my first choice. Then again I live in New England so Cape Cod motif is nothing special.

We have not stayed at either one...really want to but cant talk DH into leaving the WL. But i think i would choose YC over the BC. Have spent time at each and I just like the feel of the YC better. So that would be my resort of choice. Good luck in your quest!!!!

Haven't stayed at either yet, but we chose the Yacht Club for this summer.

Full balconies, quieter, nicer looking rooms, quicker walk to Dolphin for 24 hour counter service.

We have stayed at both many times. BC is a bit closer to the International Gateway, but the Yacht Club is that little bit closer to Dolphin's eateries as an op mentioned. I love the feel of both resorts, but the Beach Club seemed to be more relaxed or casual and the Yacht Club more formal to me. Between the two the Yacht Club is my favorite.

Beach club due to it's proximity to Epcot and the lighter, brighter color schemes. The rooms feel more relaxing to us as well, and it's great for kids. If my wife and I want a more adult theme resort, we'll just stay at the GF.

Hi Red Some do, and of course you can request this, however it is not guaranteed you will get one. I am also partial to the Yacht Club as well. I just love the elegant vibe over there. The technical term for these resorts is "sister" resorts but I think of it more as "sibling" resorts as I feel the Yacht Club has a little more of a masculine feel to it, whereas the Beach Club is more feminine. I think you really cant go wrong with either one though. Both are just amazing resorts and have so many great reasons to stay there. Hope this helps! Marie
