We've not stayed at the YC club level but we just did the AKL's club level in January. That was our first and prob'ly only club level experience. It's nice to have the nice lounge to go back to, have a drink & a snack & relax. We also inadvertently made the lounge area into a "base" of sorts. If the kids went to the arcade & the hubby & I split off for the inlaws to wander around the resort we all seemed to meet back up in the lounge. Sitting there together relaxing & chit chatting turned into a nice thing. I don't see why the resort lounge areas couldn't be used in this way. We always have drinks brought to us for our room fridge & ship down our favorite munchies. How hard would it be to grab a bottle of water from the fridge, a packet of trail mix from the box, then plop down in a seat in the resort sitting areas for a rest & people watching? The IPO services really weren't of use to us because I'm the planner anyway. The few things I tried to utilize them for got messed up & I had to fix it anyway. I just don't see that being a useful service for us.
If you've never done club level you should try it....especially if you can use a discount for it. It's not worthwhile for everyone but you never know until you try it. Personally, I would rather the extra money went to a tour or better room view or something like that. Ya know?
