What kind of cookies and other treats are offered at the xmas party. If you had pictures it would be awesome.

When I was there it was a sugar cookie, and apple slices as the treat. The drink was hot cocoa and maybe a juice.
Here are pictures of cookie, one from 2009 and the other from 2011.

By the way, I don't like sugar cookies much but these have been very tasty.

They should have a "healthy" option at the locations as well. Normally its the apple slices (may need to ask) and then I think apple juice over instead of the cocoa (also may need to ask).

I have a silly question how hot is the hot cocoa? We will be going to the Xmas party and I worry about the kids burning their tongues. (I worry about everything) Is it drinkable right away ?

For us last year, it was nice and warm, not too hot that it burned tongues. It definitely would not scald if it was spilled. I drank my right away, but I always do the "test drink" first, just in case it is too hot.:)

Test it first. I recall it usually coming out of those big brown plastic drink dispensers. Like this
th

So if it was a fresh batch it would be very hot, but it you were getting near the bottom of the batch, it would be closer to warm cocoa than hot.

Here is my picture from last year's party. I thought the cookies and hot chocolate were both terrible. The hot chocolate was very watery.

Alllllways do a sip test before taking a drink of anything hot. If it's brand new and fresh, it's going to be hot. If it's been sitting in the container a bit, it'll be cooler, you just dont know <3

Those sugar cookies look soooo good. I can almost smell them!

Last year it was oatmeal and sugar cookies, apple slices and hot cocoa. Quite tasty! And pretty much all you can eat/drink. Make sure you get your $57/62 worth! ;)

I would always test the hot chocolate before I give it to my kids. I just hate when I get any hot beverage and it takes forever to cool down to drink it. I also have 2 impatient kids LOL I can hear it now " can we drink it now, can we drink it now...how about now..."

We were just at the first party on Friday night and the only cookies they gave out (at least at the locations we went to) were snicker doodles. The hot chocolate was SO SO GOOD! They put marshmallows in it. It was just awesome. We chose our spot for Holiday Wishes and the castle light show along the walkway to Adventureland so I went over to Crystal Palace for our first round of cookie and cocoa. One of the CM's working there offered to help me bring 4 hot chocolates and whole bunch of cookies to our group! She walked with me.. I just kept thanking her and she was so nice. We did not get any sugar cookies but I didn't eat the cookies anyway, everyone else liked them. They may have had different cookies at different locations though.

I must say, after reading so many negative things about MVMCP, I was very happy with it and it was the highlight of our trip. Not sure if it was because it was the 1st party or not but the park did not feel crowded in any way, only Main Street was and I expected that. I always say, you be the judge of certain things and this time I am glad that we did the party.

We had snickerdoodles and sugar cookies last year. Near the end of the night they were giving them out four at a time. We ended up saving some for a snack the next day. There were CMs singing Christmas carols outside Columbia House so we got hot chocolate and enjoyed their improptu performance. Hmmm, I think I'll make a hot chocolate now. :hungry:

The same thing happened to us too! They were giving away several cookies at a time, as well as multiple bags of apples at the end of the night. We used them for snacks throughout the rest of our vacation.

Not totally understanding your post. Do you not consider apple slices a "healthy" option?

This year, at Pinocchio's Village Haus, they had sugar cookies. They were soooo yummy!! Very chewy and soft. My favorite kind of sugar cookies! I don't like the ones that aren't as chewy. The hot chocolate was very good too. Not too hot but then again we might have been at the bottom of a batch. At Columbia Harbour House, they also had juice.

More so the apple juice. Lots of juices sold have almost as much sugar as soft drinks. For example, an 8oz serving of Juicy Juice 100% Apple Juice is 110 calories, and 26g sugar. A 8oz serving of Coke is ~92 calories and ~26g sugar. The only benefit would be if you are counting that 8oz serving of juice as 2 of your servings of fruits/veggies. And seeing how long those apple slices can last in those baggies, I'm not sure if I'd trust the preservatives they treat them with as healthy either.

I didn't visit every location but the ones I visited had sugar cookies, apple slices, hot cocoa and apple juice.
