I have to say Christmas time is by far the best time that I have had at WDW! I have been in April and August and Christmas time just blows them both away. The extra details that go into making WDW look like a winter wonderland.

oh fantastic,i bet thats a sight to see.

do you have any rough temeratures or know somewhere i can find some.
i live in briton and its always cold here so im trying to find if it is cold for florida (which mweans it will be warmish for me.lol.) or just cold in general

Average high for Dec - 73°F = 23°C
Average low for Dec - 53°F = 12°C

Record high for Dec - 90°F = 32°C (Dec 7, 1978)
Record low for Dec - 20°F = -7°C (Dec 26, 1983)

I think that if you plan for weather from about 8°C to 26°C, you should be OK. The records quoted above are pretty unusual.

^^Yes, with the first MVMCP scheduled for Nov 10, the decorations will be up by the time you visit.

To the OP:
Also - the Candleight Processional at Epcot is not to be missed.

Enjoy .

It's a great time of year to go. We have gone the first week of December for three years now and will be going again Dec 2nd thru the 9th this year. We find the crowds not that bad though picks up a little with the pop warner football and cheerleaders which I think is the week of Dec 7th thru the 13th this year.

I would recomend if you have the time taking one day and just touring the resorts. We did that the first year we went at Christmas time, and loved it. Some of the hotels that we hit that were really nice the GF(gingerbread house), BC (gingerbread carosel) WL and AKL both great decorations. All the resorts have something.

Have a great time.

resort decorations

I was reading this thread and was wondering specifically about the decorations at the resorts. I was wondering if you could tell me if they decorate much at the moderate and value resorts or know of anyone who has photos of any of these resorts posted? I know they go all out at the GF and other deluxe resorts and have seen many of those photos. We're seasoned disney goers but this is our first trip going at this time of year. Thanks a bunch! :xmas:

Though we have noticed a cutback of decoration overall, from say three years ago, when they decorated, they decorate the whole World; Economy to Deluxe and everywhere in between.
