Well, each had their plot points, which in an ensemble cast type movie I thought were handled pretty well. I kind of like the way we were introduced to the characters in the first movie and everything moved forward logically instead of throwing a bunch of new mutants at us. It makes me think this series might hang around a little longer the Batman series. I can't wait for the next one.

Now I totally agree with you there, and I think Gary and Roddy do as well. This movie is going at a great pace, however you have more than enough mutants, stories and new directions to easily fill five to 10 movies. Although the budget will escalate with each picture, I wonder how many films Fox has in mind right now. Obviously a third and fourth film are in the works considering the introduction of so many ideas and paths in X2.

As much as many dislike her I don't like it when characters are replaced mid way through a trilogy or series of movies. Storm has always kinda been there and I thought she had a lot of screen time this go around.

I think she is jumping the gun here. There is plenty of time to discuss this and make adjustments for the X-Men saga.

I just know Gambit better be in X3, dammit! :lol:

Seriously, though, I do agree with you. But I'd rather not have a character than have the actor or actress do so many changes on his or her character simply because he/she thinks he/she has status to do so. And in the case of X-Men, the team's roster is always mutating (pun intended), so it's perfectly ok for Storm to be out. Truth be told, I'd rather they save the money Halle is asking for her next salary to use on effects and a possible Beast appearance, along with Gambit, more Colossus, more Nightcrawler and possibly an iced-up Iceman? :slurp:

Exactly my thoughts, we saw plenty of Storm and her power this time around. If Halle doesn't sign up, leave Storm out, we don't "need" her in a third movie. I'd rather see no storm than a replacement storm as well. Intro some more characters or like Roddy said, furthur develop some others, have Beast Mutate into Hairy Beast, or let Ice-man become the Ice-man made of Ice.

I'm assuming Pyro and Collosus are gonna get bigger parts.... who knows.. maybe Jubilee and Beast will be more than a cameo. Hell, I was on the X2 website reading the character profiles, and in Cyclops' profile, they made mention of Havoc ... they have a million different directions in which to take X3.

I'm just curious as the when the Marvel Movies will feature crossover characters..

Now that is something that has been in the back of my mind since X-men first came out. I imagine after they have milked individual franchises pretty dry, a potential Wolverine vs. Spider-man or Hulk would make a huge Movie cash cow.

That depends if the companies will be willing. I mean, Fox made Ben Urich work for the post so that there were no Bugle connections on the film.

Obviously, I'm dreaming of Fox acquiring Spidey's rights ever since I read yesterday that Sony may lose them after the 2nd movie comes out due to their legal battle with Marvel. I think it'd be more profitable for us if Fox got the rights rather than Universal.
