X-Men: The Last Stand

Just because the ending leads to a sequel, does not mean there will be a sequel.

I think there's still one more left. It just didn't feel like an ending to the series, and there was that questionable ending with Magneto. Plus the secret ending at the end of the credits gives away the definate possibility of a sequal.

What? This movie is the last one? I thought that they were making one more. I mean, there was that one glimpse of Magneto at the end.

Two movies with the working titles "Wolverine" and "Magneto" are due in 2007. Wolverine is about Logan's past and how he became the "man" we know today...and Magneto is about Magneto's childhood and his days spent over in Poland. Hugh Jackman and Sir Ian McKellan both star in these movies respectively.

I do believe we have seen the last "X-Men" movie...but it's Hollywood...anything can happen. (They did touch on the Sentinels afterall).

"I'm the Juggernaut, _____!" :sohappy:

Yeah, I loved that line! I also liked the similar one where the security gaurd in Mystique's prison truck was taunting her.

I don't know about you guys but I'm really not that excited about the "Wolverine" and "Magneto" spin-offs. I mean, they already explained Wolverine's past in the last movie, and at the beginning of the first movie for magneto. I'd much perfer a final sequal to the series. Maybe something like "X-men: The Final Battle" or something like that.

Sure, there is plenty of room for another one in the storyline...but I think part of the reason is because some of the actors/actresses (mainly Halle Berry) are done with their characters...they are ready to move on.

I'd love for them to continue it...I was really drawn to this series (probably even moreso than the Spider-man series thus far).

I agree that Wolverine's story has been beat to death...and Magneto's won't really appeal to that many people. (Don't forget...they never really gave a REASON why Wolverine was put through the trauma he was...they just showed who did it)

I thought they already kinda did. Note that Wolverine had a dog tag, meaning that he was inlisted in the army. I think that his skeleton was grafted with metal and was given claws, to become the ultimate, indestructable soldier for the military. William Stryker woked for the government originally, and I guess that he used to make military weapons in that facility of his before he came obsessed with killing the mutants.

One thing that they do need to explain, is why Lady Deathstrike had the same healing abillities as Wolverine. I never really understood that.

What I find funny...

6 Good mutants against an army of bad.

One bad mutant can do anything with metal...2 of the good mutants pretty much were completely metal. Shouldn't they have been completely taken out of the equation?

Yep. I think we're lucky that we got 3 movies with most of that cast in tact. Sure some basically just made cameos in X3, but that is ok. For me, the X-Men series is not close to the Spider Man series, but I have enjoyed the films more than I thought. Maybe I need to revisit the original. I remember liking it ok when I first saw it, but maybe I'm sellling it short. I do know one thing that won't change though: X2 was easily the best of the 3 films.

I thought it was great. I think that the Pheonix was actually a bit better in the movie than the comics. And I can certainly understand why they tweaked it the way they did. If they'd they followed the comics version, they would've had to go into the whole space aspect, with galactic empires, fights on the moon, plus about a billion more characters to introduce (not to mention the Hellfire Club). Would've been way too much for one movie.

Missed Nightcrawler, though. He's my favorite outta all the X-Men, and he didn't even get written out! They just didn't even bring him up. Oh well. Pyro's cool, though. They've done a really good job with him over the last two movies. I never used to think he was cool, but I do now.

*Spoiler!*

And remember, if they do decide to make a fourth ensemble movie, you didn't actually see Cyclops die. They alluded to it. So he could always come back somewhere down the line.

I don't know what movie trailers played where y'all live, but here, they showed a trailer for "Ghost Rider".
Man, it looks pretty awesome!
Aw, man! You got Ghost Rider? We got a buncha schlock like The Fast and the Furious: Fast Cars, Stupid People. Nicolas Cage on fire beats that any day.
