morning. Have a busy day today...teacher meetings and a dr's visit.

The hand is working a bit better, but my entire right side is very stiff and sore.

*wishes we hadn't put tile in the bathroom*

Hope everyone here is doing well. Bonny, how are you feeling about the hair color now? Better?

G'day.
now that the school year is ending, I wish it was done. I want to see my mom next week, but the problem is that she is travelling with my aunt, who does not plan things ahead very well.
"Where are you staying in Orlando, Mom?"
I don't know, ask Rosie.
"When do you arrive in Orlando?"
Ask Rosie; she knows all the details.
"How are you getting to Tampa Bay for your best friend's wedding?"
Oh, I'm sure Peggy will drive us over...
"Well, I thought you were staying with your friend; why didn't you fly to Tampa?"
"We're going to be in Florida for a week."

Which really doesn't mean much... she only got to see us twice when she was down in Oct. One night for dinner, and one day at Sea World. We did have a nice time; it's just that I miss her, and it's not wrong to want her all to myself, is it? Things just have a way of going a little caca when my aunt gets involved, is all.

I know it's hard when parents seem to have little time for adult children. Maybe she feels like you have a busy life too, and doesn't want to take away your free time from you. And if she's depending on someone else for transportation, that only complicates the situation. Why don't you tell her that you want to plan a mother-daughter outing, and you need her to give you some time alone with her. or if you think your aunt would understand, explain the situation to her without hurting her feelings. Good luck!

Morning Mad!
Glad your hand is feeling better. I was a bit worried about it, since I had a similar fall a couple of years ago and did some pretty serious damage to my wrist.

Anyway, have a good day, then take a long hot bath for those aches and pains!

What happened to your hand and side Mad?

It's getting better...it is still a little shocking for me, the hardest thing to get used to is the length. It hasn't been this short since MJ was 6 months old...

Good morning all!
Hope my internet works better today than it did last night!

I hear you with those computer problems. My laptop is OLD and is on its last legs. Marc needs to wipe the thing and reformat it ASAP, or I'm afraid it may crash and I could lose all my work info.

Not a good morning.
I just read the story of Baby Samuel. It's so incredibly sad.
How can people be so brave?

I read that after hearing some very sad news here.
A Philadelphia Police Officer was shot to death last night, responding to a burglary at a bar. He never even had the chance to draw his gun.
Our family met this officer several years ago when he headed an outreach program in our former neighborhood and brought his program to the Boys and Girls Club where our daughters worked. Our family helped start a petition to nominate the officer for a prestigious award bestowed on city Police Officers every year. He did not win, but was so happy to be nominated. He earned it. He really cared about the community he worked in and put his whole heart and soul into his work.
Officer Gary Skerski was working an overtime shift on Operation Safe Streets when he was killed. He was 46 years old and married with a 13 year old son and a younger daughter.

I'm sorry to be such a downer this morning.
But I feel like I'm choking and I knew you guys would understand my need to write this down.

Oh that is so sad. I hate hearing about things like that, especially when there are young kids involved. My dad died when I was young, and I know how hard it can be to lose a parent. :(

Morning all, it's a rainy day i nthe Hundred Acre Wood this morning, I awoke to thunder and rainstorms that should continue most of the day.

Yesterday was a nice day. We went to Studios with our friend Adam. He brought us some t-shirts that he cleaned out of his closet :) Then our friends Steven and Alicia called us and surprised us by coming to see Fantasmic with us :) They brought Pink Princess Ears (so now MJ, Alicia and I have matching ears) They also brought her 3 pins, a jumbo Tinker Bell one and the birthstone Tinker Bell Hearts of each of their birth months :)

Today I think we will do nothing, because the rest of the week is crazy busy...

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my neurologist, Thursday MJ's godmother has sugery and I have an appt with a counselor, Friday is my cardiologist appointment...

Glad you had fun yesterday. Adam was nice. Did he tell you we ran into him at Everest on Friday?

I was 3 1/2. It's just that June is coming up, and I HATE the month of June. It was his birthday, the anniversary of his death, my parent's wedding anniversary, and Father's Day all in one month. Blech. My mom usually gets kinda depressed around that time of year.
