I presume somebody already posted about this, but it seems Disney has changed its ticket prices to work like the airlines; the more folks purchase tickets for that day, the higher the ticket prices go.

Just like an airline seat, to get the best price is to book as much in advance as possible.

Good idea from Disney’s standpoint, get that money as soon as possible for a stay in the future and the guest feels good they purchased early and can watch how much money they saved as their check in date approaches.

And Disney can price the tickets whatever they wish at any time they wish. They can say a lot of folks purchase a ticket for that day even though they never tell the public the actual attendance on any given day.

Just about all other parks will do this if Disney does it.

You really are about 20 years behind if your believe Disney still “sets the trends in the market”

Think of all the extra money they could make by charging extra for backpacks, pay more for the backpack or more for sodas and lockers, the new Disney difference.

I don’t “shill” I try to use objective logic and facts to inform my opinion to prove my point here’s a list of things that upset me

there is more but anyway in an attempt to get back on topic if the rumored pricing structure is implemented I will be against it

For my family, while we don't necessarily agree with the placement of the new attractions, we could look past it. What our problem has always been is their business side of things and pricing structure.

Look at how easy it is to visit Dollywood or Universal.

What Disney parks did was allow the ease of travel to be replaced with capacity issues specifically because they wanted to add fees for upsells. 100% planned. The problem is they lost control of it and can’t respond properly…so now everything they try makes it look worse publicly

Disney jacks the prices up and then lowers them slightly and the gullible masses think they are getting such a great deal. Kohl's does this all the time.

That was the tactic adopted during the real estate crash…raise prices on the base price beyond the temp discounts
