Looks great! I agree that this may be the "boy" movie they've been looking for. Although, both of my boys loved BRAVE.....so did Daddy.

I am so excited for this movie, I have been since I first heard about it while the movie was still in its early stages and was called Reboot Ralph. I would love to get my picture taken with Penelope von Schweetz!

Maybe Wreck-It Ralph might spark WDI's interest in the old Rock Candy Mountain project from decades ago that Walt originally had the idea for during the early stages of Disneyland. They could simply re-theme it to the Sugar Rush game featured in the film.

This movie just rubs me the wrong way.
I love the idea, but in the end its a parody of video games, even the arcade cabinet is a parody of Donkey Kong.

If only there was a way to get Disney and Nintendo to work together.
It's not making fun of video games. Heck, I'd consider it to be more of an homage than a parody.
But Ralph is on his way, and you can expect him to be QUITE big. We're talking around 6'6". I know there's a female character that was being developed around the same time, but I can't say for certain whether it's Penelope or not.

There are going to be quite a few original female characters in Wreck-It Ralph, including Penelope. There's the heroine in the fictional game Hero's Duty, and a few other candy themed racers for the fictional game Sugar Rush. There should be photos on the film's facebook page.

I'm fairly certain it was Penny, I'm just not ready to put my name on the line stating it as fact. But if ANY female character from that movie would be coming to the parks, I can't see it being anyone else but her.

At least Winnie the Pooh will be leaving Animation. I am really looking forward to the Wreck it Ralph characters.

Saw a preview for Wreck it Ralph at the opening for Brave. Did not impress....and I was a big video game junkie back in the day.....

That's what I thought about Tangled. That movie had TERRIBLE trailers, but I wound up loving the movie.

I feel like their marketing department (yes, it's usually marketing, not anyone who actually made the movie like director/producers who make the things) does not do a great job in general with movie trailers. I've seen some pretty terrible ones (*cough* John Carter *cough*) from Disney more so than some of the other studios. And yeah, Tangled did not have the greatest previews but I loved the movie :) I think Warner Bros does one of the best jobs...they've persuaded me a few times to look into movies I would not otherwise have looked at if it weren't for the great trailer.

I can't wait to see them either-but I can't think of any character that wouldn't be a step up from Pooh. The last year has been a dark one for Animation...

God, Tangled's trailers were awful. What possessed them to feature a song by freaking P!nk?

That having been said, though, I thought Wreck-It Ralph's trailer was fantastic. It did what it was supposed to do: get my psyched for the movie, more-so than I already was. Tangled's various trailers just made me want to gag and avoid it at the theater (which I now regret).
