1st grade math test required for entry to WDW CONFIRMED!!!
LOL, don't give them any ideas. God knows they'd charge us for the #2 Disney ✏️.
I know around here when it first ramped up people were pretty lackadaisical about the whole thing, but you know lately John q public has risen to the occasion. I see runners who don't wear mask go out of their way to avoid people, at the market people are obeying the directionals, lining up patiently to get into the market etc etc.

And yep we have our resident knuckleheads who blithely go on living la vida loca but they're like roaches, no matter where you go they pop up

let's face it: WDW hasn't operated at an enjoyable parks capacity since the '90s. a lot of what becomes the "new normal" in terms of theme park capacity is probably a step forward. in guest experience

also, i love how masks is where some people draw the line. what an arbitrary and silly hill to die on. i'm always impressed at the amount of constitutional scholars we have here that love to scream about their rights. you have a constitutional right to free speech, but not to yell "fire" in a crowded theater where there isn't a fire; you can't recklessly endanger someone else's life.

it's a virus that spreads through asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic carriers. if you're not wearing a mask, you could literally kill someone else. i don't understand anyone's thinking on not wearing one. it's pretty much the definition of acting like a petulant child.

The world is full of them, and they all have one thing in common. They love WDW.

Shanghai Disney Resort will open to guests on May 11 with a number of health measures in effect - including temperature screening, health QR codes, social distancing, face masks and advance reservations.

The resort has produced this video to show how the processes will work and what a typical day at the park will look like.

But China has no more virus. Why do they need to do any of this?

;)

Are they providing guests with disposable masks?
If so yes I'd go.
As it stands now if I had to bring a reusable mask to wear all day then I'd really need to have custom ones because the ones I have in order to be able to run to the grocery store are uncomfortable and suffocating and I can't get my hands on disposable.

I wore a mask while doing some cleaning for an elderly friend of the family. It was 74°F and my upper lip was covered in sweat in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, many if not most will be wearing a tissue thin mask like most people you see around the community. They probably won't have a problem because those things let everything through and are quite breathable.
Funny ones will be the people in masks lifted up taking a smoke break! and sorry but I cannot see doing a 6ft break anywhere at disney ... They have 30,000 rooms alone ... elevator door opens... ah .."we'll take the nest one" .. dad .. that was the 5th elevator !!!

No, not wearing a mask. DH said we could go, spend most of the time at the SoG pool, and pop over to the parks for a Cosmic Ray meal or a few rides, but to me that is not worth the 8 hour drive. Myrtle Beach is 3 hours away- I'd rather be at the beach under those circumstances.

I won't go if I have to wear a mask or gloves for certain rides. That's no vacation. Who wants to take pictures in front of the castle with a mask on? And who wants to pay full price for a watered down experience. I have a feeling they are not going to be happy with the survey results they receive.
DH and I were just talking yesterday about how interesting it would be to have a picture at the castle in a mask. Something to show your grandkids in a few decades.

As you see Disney is selling mask now at shopDisney and I went to get some for my wife because she is a massive Pooh fan but ALL SOLD OUT!

I remember the last time Walt Disney World closed, it was on 11 September 2001, in the days and weeks following, they had exactly similar restrictions, limited rides open, no fireworks, extra precautions, etc. Within a month all those extra restrictions {execept the bag check} were relaxed or just ended and phased out entirely.

Some rides were put on seasonal status sure, but over time the travel and tourism increased and then all rides were always open and active execept for those under refurbs at the time.

Quite personally I voted no, I wouldnt return to the parks with these kind of restrictions active, quite personally I would wait a month or so before going back. By then the social distancing, the mask requirements, all those things would be rendered useless because of how long its been and they wouldnt be needed anymore.

just my thoughts

I can Understand the mask issue. With the heat in Florida, a lot of overweight and old people would have a very hard time breathing. I worked In Walmart and had to wear a mask lifting heavy stuff for 8 hours a day and I gotta say it’s nearly impossible to breathe in.

But I also agree that you shouldn’t complain about it. If you can’t handle it, just don’t go. 👍🏻

Upstate SC? If so, me too. But I’d go. 👍🏻

What do rights have to do with anything? I won’t go to WDW with my family if masks are required. It’s not comfortable, it’s not fun, it’s not magical. It has zilch to do with rights.
