Would you like to see a new fireworks show at MK?

I do enjoy Wishes and am looking forward to seeing it again.... but it is time for a change. It still thrills me and every part of it works well but after so many years, its time to get creative and bring in something new and thrilling to WOW us all over again. That goes for some other things as well that have run their course and lost their luster over time.

Something that I really miss was the cohesiveness of both SpectroMagic and Wishes being hosted by Jiminy Cricket. I know "Spectro" began in the 90s and Wishes didn't come around until 2003, but it was so neat that they lined up. I'd honestly like to see a MSEP replacement before a Wishes replacement.

Yes
I've always kind of wanted to see some sort of fireworks show where all of the lands in Magic Kingdom are represented, but with the audio and projections on the castle. It would be neat to see different Disney films themed to each of the different areas of the lands all in one big night time presentation.

Adventureland - Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Pocahontas
Tomorrowland - Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, Big Hero 6, Wall-E, Meet the Robinsons
Liberty Square - "America" song/section, Haunted Mansion sequence
Frontierland - Song of the South, Lone Ranger, Davy Crockett
Fantasyland - I don't even need a list here.

Reminds me of Disneyland's "Remember Dreams Come True" fireworks. Although that show used attraction dialogue and music instead of movie music. I would love to see something like at the MK.

I wouldn't mind seeing new MK fireworks or a new version of Illuminations. I think there will be new ones for WDW's 50th in 2021. I would also be okay if they rotated fireworks like they did at Disneyland; one season would be Magical and another would be Remember Dreams Come True.

This is kind of off topic, but I am very into linguistics and I noticed you used the need + past participle construction ("doesn't need replaced") which fascinates me. Are you from Western PA - Eastern Ohio or somewhere very close by? It is a very specific regional usage. (It seems to come from Scots who settled in the area.)
I'm actually from South Florida but my mom & grandma are from Ohio so maybe I just picked up on it from them? haha

It was a GREAT show. The first few minutes is essentially Wishes, but once tinker bell takes flight the show really takes off!

I just watched it! It made me tear up a bit!!

I personally believe that Epcot should have a special-event fireworks like this. With music and effects featuring things from Horizons, Cranium Command, Body Wars, The Living Seas, Universe of Energy, Kitchen Kabaret.. Ect. I'm sure it would be a HUGE hit for Epcot fans! :)

Who cares? Fireworks are fireworks.

I'd much rather see the money spent on a new night time parade and Tomorrowland overhaul.

Wishes could stay forever for all I care.
(Illuminations is more interesting!)

I tend to be of this mind as well. Honestly, I didn't even realize there was specific different fireworks shows over the years until relatively recently. I just think of them as the MK Fireworks.

There's plenty of big entertainment options I'd rather see them do before worrying about Wishes -- new parade for DHS, regular fireworks at DHS, daytime show (e.g. water parade) at DAK, replacement for MSEP (but keep Baroque Hoedown!).

First off...I adore Wishes. I would watch it every single night of my trip if the family were OK with this. In fact, it's the only must see nighttime show at all of WDW that's a must do for me each trip. That being said, I think it would be appropriate to replace it with something new and spectacular for the 50th. Disneyland Forever, for the Disneyland 60th, gives me hope. It's the only fireworks show I've seen since Wishes that wowed me and had me in tears. Obviously, I'd like something original...but something with the major wow factors as that show. I mean, if they're going to replace something as powerful as Wishes, it better be amazing.

I'm totally with you on all of this, except for keeping Baroque Hoedown.. I'd rather have a score like SpectroMagic. Full Orchestra!!! :)

Absolutely it should. After seeing Disneyland Forever and all the amazing technology and effects that it uses, it sheds light on how outdated Wishes is (and I love Wishes). Magic Kingdom deserves a new jaw-dropping nighttime spectacular.

Be careful what you wish for, I love Disneyland Forever but I don't know if they'll ever top Remember DCT for me. The first time I saw the stretching room fireworks I was blown away and I really hope they bring it back again at some point, even if for only for a few weeks a year.

Rotating fresh shows with new themes and technology with older shows we already love would be the best of both worlds.

Perhaps there should and yes there will but be careful what you wish for.

However, Wishes looks stunning at the moment. And has no Frozen.

Yup. I like Wishes well enough, but Disneyland Forever puts it to shame. There's new tech out there that can really be used to MK's advantage.
