The Merge Cast Member always feels bad for the Stand-by Guests.

Well, rumour has it that an interactive queue will take it's place. So, now instead of noticing you are waiting longer than you should, you will probably notice that the people ahead aren't moving because they are distracted by the queue.

When I was in the Space Mountain queue, some guests were playing the little queue games and the party in front of us tried to go around them. The guests playing the game promptly started yelling at them, despite the fact that they hadn't moved in about 2 minutes and there was a huge space in front of them. o_O

FastPass, combined with reasonably accurate wait times provided by sites such as TouringPlans.com is an extremely useful tool if you use it right! Combined with an early arrival, an occasional single-rider line, and a bit of common sense when planning, MOST days at WDW can be spent with minimal or no waits. I LOVE FastPass!

While I understand the frustration in seeing a big gap in the line ahead of you somewhere that isn't being filled in, the reality is that you don't get on the ride any quicker by filling in right away. If the group playing the game finished up and then moved rapidly ahead, it would have zero impact on the total wait time for the ride. So, I can understand the guests playing the game being upset -- they shouldn't be passed in line.

How long do these games take?

I like FP except when I'm in line at TSM and they are continually putting FP people through and the stand by line inches along.
I never knew they didn't enforce the return times so I guess I'm glad they do now for those of us that already respected those times. :)

I mean, of course - as long there's nobody joining the line that wasn't there before, it will take just as long. But its still kind of inconsiderate to sit there and play the game twice or so.
