Would this be silly?

We often bring dessert or leftovers back to the room. Or sometimes we will just go to a restaurant specifically for dessert. Since I am diabetic, I cannot have too much sweets, but will indulge a bit while there. Here is the thing, I like my own coffee, made with my Keurig. I prefer Barista Prima Columbia and Newman's Own Organic Special Blend Bold.
Would it be silly and a bit self-indulgent to bring my own coffee maker and coffee? We drive and there would be room, but part of me thinks it might be silly to lug it to Florida just so I could enjoy my own coffee with a leftover bite of cupcake or piece of Magic Cookie Bar.

It would absolutely be silly and self-indulgent. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it! You're driving, you're on vacation - if that is going to make things more enjoyable for you, then go for it! Just be sure to pick up a case of bottled water so that Florida water doesn't contaminate your coffee. ;)

I see nothing silly at all about this. Since the dinning plan only covers 2 meals, we typically bring enough food for breakfast (coffe cake, doughnuts, granola bars, fruit etc) to last the whole trip. Last time we even brought a cooler with milk & juice. (free ice at the hotel so no issue keeping it cold) Also we usually just want something quick to eat while on the way to the park so we don't have to get up any earlier than we have too and still be there at gate opening.

Great advice about the case of water. No coffee, no matter how strong, could mask that tap water.

We live 45 minutes away and still drag our coffee maker to Disney for weekend trips. My husband will drink 5-6 cups in the morning and we would have to hunt down housekeeping for more coffee. Rather than bring individual bottles of water for coffee, look for the big zephyrhills liter bottles. Save the smaller water bottles for the parks.

If you can why not? I would do it, then you also have your favorite coffee in the room in the morning.
Great idea... Why didnt I think of it :banghead: ???? ( Must add this to my Disney packing list.) If more of us do it maybe Disney will get the idea and offer Keurig's in the rooms for us!!:geek: Hope... Hope.... I've gotten addicted to the one I gave my wife a few Christmas's ago. Now I use it more than she does.

at first i thought you meant that you would bring your coffee pot to a restaurant to enjoy your own coffee lol. THAT would be silly =P but no, i think if you can fit it in the car then you should bring what you want!!
Yes, if I came waltzing into a restaurant with my own coffee maker, that would certainly qualify as silly. The notion is cracking me up. Imagine this at Whispering Canyon Cafe..."I'd like the Build-your-own All-you-care-to-enjoy Family Platter and a place to plug this thing in please."
