Would Disney ever revive cancelled projects?

The really impressive part of Dueling Dragons was the queue. One of my favorite queues I've been through. I was disappointed to see some of the best parts of it replaced for the new "Dragon Challenge".

On another note, it's always interesting to see how poorly "Dragon Challenge" is doing in the new area. What once used to be the biggest draw for the back of the park now rarely has a line over 10 minutes, for some reason. Is there a chance they scrap the ride in favor of a huge expansion to Harry Potter?

I think it's partially due to the situation that happened a few years back because of Loose articles striking other riders. Including one guest who lost an eye. And they don't "race" against each other which was the thrilling with the near collisions...http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...aster-trains-universal-spokesman-tom-schroder

Very possible. I was aware of the situation but I can't imagine the casual fan cares too much about it. Maybe it's made the ride less sexy to visitors? I honestly feel like the ride just isn't as noticeable as it used to be. For such a huge outdoor coaster, it's very easy to walk down Hogsmeade without even noticing it's there!

I'm sure that was intentional to help preserve the authenticity and immersion of Hogsmeade but it has backfired in a way by making Dueling Dragons a less popular attraction.

Regarding SDMT, apparently, the story goes that WDW realized that New Fantasyland was too top-heavy for girls. With the addition of Princess Fairytale Hall, Belle, and Little Mermaid, they needed to even things out. Re-enter 7DMT and rename Cinderella's Carousel to Prince Charming Carousel. I guess you could count Winnie the Pooh, being Christopher Robin's fantasy.

This can't be true... there are plenty of Fantasyland attractions for boys:

I doubt it, and I'd sure hope not. I love those things and together they have massive hourly capacity.
I'm not aware of any B&M coaster, let alone two, being scrapped so quickly (not counting Led Zeppelin, where the whole park closed).

As Crimson pointed out, one of the Dragons' biggest problems now is that guests simply can't find the attraction entrance, which is hard enough to find on a good day, and sometimes is further obscured by overflow lines from the various Potter shops and restaurants. Plus, the replacement "Dragon Challenge" queue, while not up the grandeur of the original, is still very elaborate, extremely long, and un-skippable, so it's not like, say, Thunder Mountain where it's a simple thing to get off the coaster and hop back in the rear part of the line.

Nope...Gone...

No I know they don't have them at the entrance anymore, I rode it a year ago! I meant did they put them in storage for future use or just destroyed them? I'm guessing it would've been easier to just destroy them, but they really were quite impressive!

Regarding the fantasyland attractions not for boys question...

There's plenty! Peter Pan, Mickey's Philharmagic, Pooh Bear, Mad Tea Party.. And now, like mentioned, 7 Dwarves mine Train..

Dragon Tower that was to be in Beastly Kingdomme was to be the E-Ticket for the section..

But, After Eisner Fired many imagineers...They decided to go to that other park across the way to make...Dueling Dragons...

But, I would have liked to have seen the Excavator Coaster for Dinoland..

Also the planned unicorn attraction apparently got turned into the Flying Unicorn which is of course now Flight of the Hippogriff.

Obviously, a lot of these attractions were drastically changed when they moved to a Universal that, at the time, was playing a completely different ballgame than Disney.

Before moving to Universal, the Dragon rollercoaster at Animal Kingdom looked to be more of an intense version of Indiana Jones/Dinosaur. (A roller coaster but with extensive show scenes and set pieces) Obviously, the Dragon Challenge ride we see today is nothing close to that.

The Unicorn attraction in Animal Kingdom was originally going to be a highly themed labyrinth of sorts. Whereas, when the idea was taken to Universal, it became a kiddie coaster. (A very good one, but a kiddie coaster nonetheless)

With that said, if the Beastly Kingdomme saga happened with today's Universal mindset, we likely would have seen nearly an exact carbon-copy of what was planned for Animal Kingdom. In other words, something incredible.

God that'd be amazing. If they brought beastly kingdom to it's full potential in either parks id be so happy. Question is, though shelved why wasn't the designs for the land copyrighted?

Does this bizarro MGM
have the obnoxious hat jarring the park? I like to believe it's doesn't.
