Ellen's Energy Adventure, before, I remember it was always the longest, boringest ride. And guess what, it still is! I haven't been on it, since Ellen's adventure took over.

Horrible!

JIYI gets the vote, just a totally uninspired ride.

The ride I think really wastes valuable space is Indy Speedway. A slow, boring, hot, ride with a really bad line system. A great location in MK that could be used for a truely E ticket ride.

Never say never. Look how close Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain are. Or Rock and Roller Coaster next to Tower of Terror. On a spot that big, you could have the entrance closer to the Fantasyland entrance.

I disagree with you. (I am probably the only one who does though... )
I think it is very cool to see the whole theater moving specially when you hear it is partly by solar energy; then the smell inside the ride transports you to that era. I learned a lot in it since the first time I rode it with my family being a kid. (I´m not a nerd!) I don´t like Ellen Degeneres in it though... I liked it better without her.

Epcot is the Discovery park and I think in each of the pavillions in Future World, you are supposed to learn in a fun way, and Universe of Energy ( I will always call it that way) accomplishes it very well.

My family and I never miss it b/c we love seeing the moving theater and the theming of the prehistoric era.

Sorry Smee but I'm not with you on this one my little Guys absolutely love the Speedway, they think it is so cool to get to drive Mum and Dad about even if it is only on a track. Plenty of kids aren't big enough to ride the Erides or are quite simply to scared this is the nearest thing to a thrill ride for little boys just MHO, don't want to upset anyone;)

My worse ride is a tie between Body wars and Star tours becuse they make me want to :hurl:
Totally selfish or what?

OK, if you've never actualy ridden it since the re-do, how can you know if it's bad? In my personal oppinion, it is my favorite ride in Epcot next to Test Track and Maelstrom. (WHich seemed much shorter last time, and the boats didn't seem to go as far over the waterfall, have they changed it??) Ellen's Energy Adventure is funny, educational, and it even has some new animatronics! ANd I like all of those rides that you posted as the worst, so I'd like to know how you came up with this list? ANd I want everybody to think about the new JIYI for a minute. As a ride in itself, it is fine. BUt when you think of what it replaced, it seems horrible. Just think about that 4 a minute.

I really cant say any ride is bad. Each Disney ride is good in its own way.

If anyone really cares :), this is my opinion on each of the rides listed above.

JYI: Even though, the original was better, this one was still insteresting. They had some good concepts when they designed it, but they didnt emphesize them enough. It still entertained me though.

SPACESHIP EARTH: I really dont know how this made it on the list.
This ride is Definately a classic. What would a trip to EPCOT be without riding it? I really miss walter croncite! And the little news paper guy who screamed "EXTRA, EXTRA, NEW YORK DAILY!"

THE LAND? Not only is this pretty educational, but its cool! Where else can you see this kind of stuff? Only in Disney! "Lets listen to the land weve all got!" (Sorry)

HALL OF PRESIDENTS: I see how this got on theree "No Comment!"

MUPPET VISION 4D????? One of the most hilarious 3D Shows in Orlando. I really like the pre-show (When they jump from monitor to monitor! And when "Mickey Mouse" comes out.

Let me give you my list of "not so good attractions"

1.) The "old" Tiki Room
2.) Hall of Presidents
3.) Swiss Family Robinson Tree House

(only my opinion!)

From what I am to understand, Journey Into Your Imagination was set to close down October 8th (haven't been over to verify yet) for a rehab. Apparently, Disney figured out that not too many people enjoyed the ride once they took out Figment. I've heard that it will re-open next June as "Figment's Journey Into Imagination"

(Keep in mind, this is just what I've heard, although the closed for rehab part was in Eyes & Ears, so I know that part to be true)

I don't see how Spaceship Earth got on the list either. I rode it for the first time in a long time this past April. That ride is so awesome! have you ever noticed how it has a certain smell in some areas of it? i love that! Only Disney's attractions have certain smells like that in them! anyway, it's hard for me to find words to describe how great that ride is without having to be repetitave with words like 'cool' and 'awesome'. educational, relaxing, empowering, a marvolous musical score...what more can you ask for in a ride? not to mention it takes you almost to the top of the most well known structures known to man (although many know it as the 'big golf ball') and c'mon...it blows the pants off all the other attractions, architecually speaking! it's a ball for crying out loud! circles are the hardest geometrical shape to construct..trust me, i know..i'm in geometry this semester! :hurl:
anyway....on top of all that, i'm very partial to SSE due to a *ahem* personal reason *wink!* (our winking smiley seems to be defective right now)

I have to agree with what some others have said. I don't think these rides are bad, just not my favorite ones. I think the Universe of Energy ride is funny with Ellen in it now. I actually kinda like it better than before. I love Hall of Presidents. I know everyone thinks it's boring but I'm a history person and I love seeing all the presidents stnading together and the audio-animatronics amazes me every time, especially when Mr Lincoln stands up! JIYI isn't all that bad, unless you compare it to the old one. I just hope they fix it up again. Spaceship earth doesn't thrill me but it ain't too bad. I have to agree with GoofyforDisney about the Swiss family treehouse and the old tiki room though. Of course I don't think I'd be happy about the removal of the treehouse. Maybe re-vamp it like they did at Disneyland? That's my $1.25 on the matter.:zipit:

My wife would agree with you regarding the Indy Speedway but my kids would not. Ever since the first time I took my oldest son to Disney he has loved the speedway. It is the first thing that he wants to ride when we get to the park. To him and his brother (and probably millions of other children), they are really driving cars. It is exciting to them and makes them feel important.

On the subject of the thread, I really don't think there are and "BAD" rides at Disney. There are some that need improvement but I have enjoyed at least part of every ride and attraction that I have been on.

I agree with you completely.... some of the "thrill seekers" on this board don't see why Speedway is so exciting for the under-16 kids. Also, its been said before that the speedway is a bit too close to Space Mountain for an e-ticket ride.... we have to take traffic flow into consideration.

I too don't believe in a bad Disney ride. Certainly some rides are not as exciting as others and may not be popular, I just think its unfair to call them "bad" rides. JIYI is obviously one of the least popular rides... but it certainly isn't bad.

I agree with Chernabog, Chris & WDw-I...a "bad" Disney ride beats the majority of rides at other parks! I'd take a day at Disney over "others" anytime!
