Worst Ride Location

What ride do you think is a really good ride/movie/show, but in a really bad location in a park?

I would personally say Muppet Vision, only because there is basically no other ride near it.

PhilharMagic, because Fantasyland is always a nightmare to walk thru, and because when the que backs up, it goes almost back to the castle and clogs everything up even more. What a poorly designed feat of engineering that que line is.

Philharmagic definatley - did you know back in 1970 they planned the size of the whole Fantasyland Theatre (philis` theatre) wrong - the preshow area can`t hold as many people as the main show theatre - so to accomodate people in the main show, people who will be admitted to the next show have to queue outside (and miss the preshow...) oops!

Oh - and also Small World. Not so much the ride, more the building - Its far too close to the opposite buildings. Add a few hundrerd strollers parked in the walkway and voila - chaos! At least they learnt at DLPs Fantasyland - that is so wide there is even a canal down the middle of it!

Well, yes phillar magic is in a bad spot but then again, muppetvision 3D , is kinda too, but its nice to get away from the crowds a lil so its a hard one

I just find it a nightmare to get to Muppets 3D, having to get through several tighter areas where traffic flows slowly.

I also agree that the doubling of ToT and RnRC was not the best... and then again with TT and M:S.

I think Dinosaur is in a bad place, it does not get the attention it deserves, being hiddin back in Dinoland! I have never seen that ride with more than a 15 minute wait. It deserves more attention.

I had a 15 minute wait with a fastpass once!

Splash Mountain & Big Thunder - two Major Park Attractions sat next door to each other
AND ,
Tower Of Terror & RockNRoller Coaster for exactly the same reason

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? That is very poor planning.

RnRC could have gone anywhere in MGM.

...the area where the walkways merge for these two rides can sometimes be murder....and the ice cream and soda carts don't help cuz they tend to block the free flow of traffic to and from the attractions on very busy days. I try to avoid this area like the plague in the summer afternoons.

I think dinosaur is actually well placed. It's away from the tree of life and the safari attraction (only 2 things I go on aside from Dinosaur). I've seen 90 minute waits at times... and I've walked on it 2 times in a row before.

Every time that I go to AK it's such a challenge to find Dinosaur. You have to take these hidden, little pathways to get to it. But the good thing is that I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for it! :D

Not really...

MGN dosen't have that much space for anything big today. They reached their park boundaries. If they want to put a BIG new attraction they would probably have to tear down a current one.

I may get the details a little wrong here, but I believe the basics are correct:

R&R was situated next to Tower of Terror due to problems getting the required about of electricity to it. It pulls too much juice for the regular supplies anywhere else, but they worked out it could share the generators built for TOT.

I agree with ya. I like the location. I know a lot of people don't like Dinoland, but it went a long way in taking pressure off of Dinosaur as the only thing to do in that area. Last year, we wasted our fastpasses for Dinosaur since the standby line was hardly more than 15 minutes anyways.

I think Dinosaur and Muppet*Vision 3-D are both too far off the beaten path. If you don't know where they're at it can get a little tricky to find them. I also think it's a little difficult to find the It's Tough to be a Bug entrance. I know it's in the Tree of Life, but it seems like everytime I'm in AK they've moved the entrance for the attraction.
