i got stuck on the rehab'd version of Imagination. the lights were all out for 5 minutes pitch black, people were screaming in other cars, it was real freaky.then the emergency lights came on but we were stuck another 10 minutes.i remember seeing the black curtains between the scenes and the power fuse boxes??i think down a few stairs behind a row of fake computer lights. the dark was scary, especially if you don't know the other people in the car.

I got stuck on pirates once for an hr and had to walk back stage after the figured they cant fix the ride. The walked us backstage for like 20 min when your a kid thats a real long time.

The best bad ride experance was when I was on the monorail when an CM who was quitting Hyjacked the monorail one stop.

My worst experience was on SE also. The ride stopped as we were going up---not as long as the 45 minute wait during the power outage, but for 15-20 minutes, and that was long enough.

I didnt read all the posts on the thread so i dont know if this has been posted yet... but...

about 6 years ago while on the Mealstrom(sp?) going up the lift hill the whole ride stopped. Now ud think this would suck but being at an agle like that for 30-50 min was quite relaxing what with being off ur feet for a while after walking so much. The only part that sucked was that he head or face or whatever that engulfs the lift hill in light (i havent been on since so i dont even know if its still there) REALLY REALLY got to ya.

My worst ride experience was on the Universe of Enery. My wife and I do not like this ride but we hadn't been on it for a few years and it was hot so we decided to go on it. We were in the first row - first car. We were entering the dinosur room when the car just stopped. The was an announcment made that the ride was having technecial problems and the ride should be operating momentarlly. We waited 30 minutes in the smelly dinosur room until a cast member showed up and made the cars go in reverse mannually. Becuase the floor is so slippery and we were two feet off the ground, they could not open the doors and let us walk out. This took about another 30 minutes and because we were the first car in...we were the last one in reverse. The only cool thing about the experience was the car we were in got a "Go to the Front of the Line" Card. We used the card for Test Track.

A few years ago we got stuck for about 20 minutes at the top of Splash Mountain. We were still on the incline but could see all the activities in the MK park. It was at night so it was kinda cool, except that my daughter started to freak a little as did the mom behind us who had clostrophobia. She started crying and yelling at her husband. I don't think she wanted to go on the ride in the first place.

Last August we went on Spaceship Earth before leaving Epcot for the afternoon. We were a bit annoyed that on a 98degree day, the AC was not working! Needless to say, that ball gets very hot inside in the afternoon sun. We both felt sick after that and went back to the hotel pool. I really question if it should have even been open.

I got stuck on Small World a few years ago during Night of Joy. It certainly wasn't joyous for me. Yuck. One hour stuck on that ride. Took a long time before I would go back on it.

Is there anyone who is here that got stuck on the Monorail in DL I think last week? I saw it on the news, the ladders up to the monorail taking people off.

My moment was at DL when I was 3 years old. I'll never forget it. I was stuck at the end of Pirates of C. where the cannons go off. The boat wouldn't get up the ramp. It was terrifying as a kid. I wouldn't go on that ride again until I was in my 20's, and I was still a little frightened to go on it. Of course, when I actually rode it, it wasn't what I remembered. I had really built that memory up in my mind

ok here's my worst memories things lol:

-first time staying on the property about 4 years ago. i went off on my own, fot he first time, and was told to be back at Epcot by 6pm. well, i left MK. got a monorail and it stopped.. needless to say it took me another 10 minutes to get to epcot and another 5 minutes to find my family.

-not at WDW but at IOA. we rode cat in the hat one time. thought it was pretty good and got on a second. it stopped almost immediately. waited a few minutes...the work lights came on, sound was stopped and the video screens went blank. it all started back up again like that. but our car didn't turn in circles when it supposed to. everything went back to normal a minute later, but our car was the only one NOT to turn.

-december of 2000 my parents decided to treat us kids and our grandfather by staying at the boardswalk(again hehe) but with a preferred view over the boardwalk itself. but when our room was ready, it turned out be one over looking the pool. my dad was ed. we got our room alright, the next day but we had last my shower leg( i have a prosthetic right leg and i have one so i can go swimming) which was returned later on that day.

20 minutes, that's nothing! I had a friend who told me once he got stuck in Small World for 3 hours!

My worst experiences have always been due to rude castmembers. Like the time a whole library at ToT got a long lecture about being quiet - and we WERE quiet!

I would be!!
I liked that ride very much! We did it twice with no queue and we were so soaked! It was freaking cold inside the ride though... ;)

When I was 10 years old, my dad took me on my first trip to Disney World. We headed to Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom first. I rode Space Mountain and had the best time. Then, I made the stupidest decision of my Disney World trips. :brick: My dad took me on Alien Encounter. I know it sounds stupid to be scared of that ride, but back then I was a wimp when it came to rides. At first, it wasn't bad at all, but when the lights went out, the good times went bad. I screamed and screamed until the ride was over. I was NOT scared of the darkness, but I was scared of the effects with the alien. When he was supposed to be breathing on me was my problem. I hated that ride because the alien being behind me scared me!

I WILL NEVER RIDE ALIEN ENCOUNTER AGAIN!!!!

I like that ride... however, last time we rode it, we didn't distribute the weight on the boat well... and what happened is that the whole ride the boat was a little inclined... it wasn't good because all the boat was filled with water! We had a little pool inside!! Obviosuly we got worried (and extremelly soaked)... thinking in the main drop... the boat inclined... but nothing happened... we just had to buy new clothes

I will!! It was so much fun!

My sister and I went on it once, and we sat and she totally got very comfortable and "slipped" on the chair. Then, those bars come down to your shoulders and she couldn´t sit straight again!! She was so uncomfortable and even in pain for the whole show! It was so funny!! She started whispering to me how uncomfortable she was and at the same time, we both couldn´t stop laughing about it! Tears and everything! It became a common joke for the rest of her trip.... everytime we got into a show we would say to each other "sit straight!!" lol ;)

Our worst experiences have more to do with annoyances....
Test Track tried my patience last year like no other...by coincidence, I'm sure, the ride was usually closed for one reason or other everytime we went there OR there were massive delays due to breakdowns...
FAST PASS? ...forget it....the fast pass line was just as long as the standby line cuz of the backlog.
...when we finally got on the ride another day, it continually stopped for some unknown reason ruining the overall experience of the ride....we were so PO'd about it, that we demanded to ride again as did others on the track at the same time ....the CMs took a lot of hits from guests that day but were very kind to let us go around again.

I'm Surrounded by Idiots
I got stuck on Test Track for a half an hour after the car i was riding in got a flat tire and we had to sit outside while they fixed the tire and my whole experience was ruined. To top it off i missed Illuminations which was a letdown. .
