Worst Disney World experience

Man, Mighty, you just get all of the bum breaks at WDW!:(

Nothing is worse than being sick away from home. But being sick while everyone else is out having fun at Disney World really really stinks. That happened to my brother when we went down this past winter for a couple weeks. He couldn't do anything - no swimming, no eating, nothing - just lay on the couch and watch boring TV. I felt really bad for him but what can you do? We'd bring him home special things to eat - like fudge or cotton candy - and he'd just look at it and run to the bathroom.

Well, I just have to keep my fingers crossed that all goes well in August. ::knock on wood:::)

LOL! I think we've now all been sick on vacation in disney except my brother, who ruined 12 straight christmases and thanksgivings, I think, being sick when he was little...

I have it on good authority that I was the lightning rod for bad WDW vacations....took care of all of 'em, so it's safe for you to go to the park without worry. :)

I'm sure you'll have a great time! :)

September 1998: Blizzard Beach

After a 20 hour drive straight through from Chicago (arrived at 7am) we had breakfast at Olivia's and decided to go to Blizzard Beach our first day after the long car drive. I had already had a tan from the summer months so I figured I didn't need any sun screen. Oops!

We were there for about four hours and I was beet red. I ended up with water blisters all over and had to go to the emergency room for treatment. They gave me some burn cream, an antibiotic and a steroid to take and I had to stay out of the sun as much as possible for the remainder of the trip. Luckly it didn't effect my golf game (it was overcast).:)

Sorry. Yes I was peeling for a long time. I think every morning for a week I lost two pounds during the night.

Thanks for caring mightyduck. It was okay though, I still had a couple layers left after I was done molting. :D

My worst moment....

I swear this is 100% true...it is as funny as it is horrible...

3:20 pm....stuck in the backwards (and most uncomfortable) position in spaceship earth....been stuck for about 2 minutes...

Someone in front of me decides this would be a good opportunity to pass wind....it drifts in my direction....continues for about 5 more minutes...

ride finally resumes 15 minutes after originally stuck..

thus why i now ride solo (unless with friends) on SPE

worst experience

Our worst experience was when my husband thought I had the kids and I thought he had the kids. My daughter, who was 13 at the time, was the only one with any sense. She took her younger brother to guest relations. They pampered and treated the kids to all kinds of free goodies. Staff even took them outside to see spaceship earth and live acts close to guest relations. When we checked there, they turned the kids over to us with all kinds of free coupons for more stuff.

AAAAAUUUUGGGGHHH!!!! That is awful!

One bad Disney experience was Easter Sunday 1991 - in the words of the Living seas movie: "it rained....and it rained...and it rained....the deluge!". another time my uncle locked his keys in jis car at the Poly, and then a thunderstorm came...><().

Here's a doozy: June 1997 - we want to go on Splash Mountain, but our grandparents didn't, so we told them to wait by the exit to Splash mountain. we had like a 3 hour wait (it broke down, twice), did the ride, and went to meet up with our grandparents - guess what? they're not at the meeting place. my mom waits for them while me, my sister & my father do Big Thunder Mountain. We get off the ride - no grandparents. my sister & father decide to take the railroad all around the park to find them while i stayed at City Hall with my mother. they come back, and no such luck. it's almost closing time, and we're all looking for our grandparents in the droves of people that were leaving the MK based on what my grandparents were wearing - it seemed like EVERYONE was wearing a white baseball cap like my grandfather had on!!! we tried calling the hotel (we stayed on property that year @ the all-star sports) to see if they went back there, and sure enough, that's where they went. turns out they got separated from us and couldn't find us or the exit to Splash Mountian - we only showed them where it was before we got on line... >_<()

ok yeah i'm shutting up now:p

Bad experience, eh?

Member of our party decided to spend some time at MK while the others (and myself) decided to take the monorail over to Epcot...

Trouble is, the guy staying at MK had my *Ultimate Park Hopper* ticket with him...

We arrive at Epcot sans one entrace - mine.

(luckily, however, a charming woman at Epcot guest relations sorted the matter out and gave me access to the park - always a happy ending at WDW!:D )
