World ShowPlace/Millenium Village Building

Whats happened to that building since the millenium festival thingy in epcot, do they still use it for anything?

Also anyone have pictures of what it looks like inside there,

The building is actually used quite often, usually for special events. The pin event in September and the Party for the Senses in October are two recent Guest events that have been held in World ShowPlace. It was also used as an additional buffet on New Year's Eve. It is also often used for Cast events, such as a park-wide Epcot cast cookout in June, and for a special presentation on the particulars of the Year of a Million Dreams. It's basically a wide open space now with a small stage in the middle. Decorations and partitions are brought in based on the event.

I have some somewhere, I think when it was the Millenium Village, but there`s not a lot to see. Temporary building that`lll probably still be standing in 10 years time. Have a look at some of the recent NYE pics for how the interior looks today :wave:

It was actually most recently used on New Years Eve as one of the less crowded party locations.

Behind the gates between the UK and Canada; Google Earth it and you`ll see it curves around beinhd the UK pavilion, where the Crystal Palace Vaudaville theatre was to be built originally.

A few years back, they had a Disneyana convention there. It was cool.

Back in oh-3 we had our College Program graduation in there.

It was really impressed with the space. They had a large stage set up with really nifty lighting effects. I didn't even notice it was a temporary building.

Dont forget that the catering kitchens for EPCOT are located in that building and that all the food for the International Food and Wine Festival is staged out of those kitchens....
