Scotland with an attraction based on The Loch Ness Monster

But One I'd really Like to see is Ireland and a Haunted Castle themed around The Banshee...I for one would like to see the Darby O'Gill & The Little People's version used for it..Creepiest thing I've seen...

With the utmost of respect, I think you missed the point of this pavillion....many people in the United States don't know who Richard Cheney is, never mind Mark Twain, Ben Franklin and other statesmen and heroes of America.... the Pavillion is a replica of Philidelphia's Liberty Hall and is themed in the 18th century...I really don't think the women should be showing their belly buttons or the men grabbing their crotches simply cuz we live that way now...

...my daughter asks a TON of questions everytime we visit that Pavillion and she's gonna grow up understanding the brilliance of our forefathers and their weaknesses too...it's called an education, something of which I fear many of us don't get.

Very well said...I agree wholeheartedly!!!

WDW definately needs some Australian influence, and I think AK is gonna take care of that.

Australia, the best country in the world.:) :)

I'll throw in my vote for Australia! Love it

My vote goes to Russia. Here's why.

First, it would coincide nicely with Mission: Space. Seeing how the focus of Mission: Space is space exploration past, present, and future, and how a part of that is the International Space Station (ISS), Russia would fit in nicely, as it was once the United State's biggest rival in the space race but is now a partner (when they manage to pay...) with the ISS program.

Second, it is the largest country on the planet, covering two continents, 12 or so time zones, just as many ethnicities and cultures, and many varied climate zones. This would present the unique challenge of incorporating all of these faces into the final product as only Disney could do.

Third, it has always played a major role in modern history. How interesting would it be to be able to educate the next generations on the horrors of Stalin, the fear and fervor of Sputnik and the space race, of the headiness of the Cold War, and of the troubles it has seen in the last 15 years since the break up of the Soviet Union.

Finally (I have more reasons, but I'm only presenting a few), Russia would make a great addition because of what it offers as a culture. How many Russian or Soviet/Eastern Bloc hockey players are in the NHL? And let's not forget the wonderful culinary extravagencies: black bread, caviar, and vodka.

As far as the actual pavilion would go, I see Russian cottages, the spires and onion domes of the churches, and the façades of buildings like the Hermitage, the White Palace, and so forth gracing the exterior of this enchanting place. Exteriorly, it would focus on the more fairy tale side of Russia, the more enticing side. Then, inside the pavilion's buildings we could see a cosmonaut training center, or a gallery from the Hermitage or a room from the White Palace recreated, with classic Russian shops interspersed to add depth and flavor. The outfits of the CMs would only enhance the believability factor.

Ride-wise, I'd go with a dueling roller coaster that sends riders racing to win the space race, with both ending up at the ISS or the cosmonaut training building. The other ride that would be nice is a water ride similar to Maelstrom that focuses—at first—on the richness of the country's landscape and history and then is dramatically taken over by characters straight out of Russian fairy tales for the drenching (or nearly so) grand finale.

Anyway, that's my opinion, hope you like it!
You forgot to mention, Russia has some of the most gorgeous women in the world! So yeah, Russia gets my vote too!

I would suggest Russia. The architecture would make it stand out. There are many different foods and drink. A really different culture.

I think its very important that the youth of all countries understand the roots and sacrafices there forebears made.If the US pavilion works fair play. I just find it too sanitised tell it like it was warts n all.
Every country/culture has got a dark side but that shouldnt be avoided, it should be used to highlight how we develop or in some cases regress.
I dont think todays PC concious Disney would be so bold, so lets forget the educate part and stick to entertain. Build my Celtic Myths coaster NOW!!!

Here here! I agree!!

I vote for Scotland and Ireland... sorry my heritage wins out. Besides my Grandmother would have a fit if I didn't stand up for the old countries.

I was out voted by my family - I thought Switzerland just cause I loved the Matterhorn when we were in Disneyland. My wife said Russia cool with onion domes on temples.
My son both agree with Egypt for Indiana jones. Can they add 3 countries?

Enough already!

Hasn't this entire thread been worked to death. We all can wish for or imagine a new country added to EPCOT but the reality is....it's not going to happen.
Oh, I vote for Russia! :brick:

I would like to see something from South America. I also thought that originally Disney wanted countries to pay for the pavillion but that isn't how it really happens other then Mocorro.

I really dont know what country they should put in, I just wish they had more rides. If they wanted a big E Ride attraction plus a new land, put in Switzerland and build a one track copy of DL's Matterhorn

Did you know ther was supposed to be a thrill ride like RnRC called Mt.Fuji at the japan pavillion. the building is there. it is where the sometimes have those exhibits. other than that the building is vacant.
