World Showcase Question

Hi everyone!

Just a little help pre-planning my May vacation. I am staying at the Boardwalk Villas, and am planning on walking into Epcot for EMH's in the morning via the World Showcase entrance. My question is, since World Showcase does not open for EMH's, will the back entrance still be open to get to Future World? If not, is there another way for me to walk around to the front entrance?

Thanks in advance! :)

Yes, we've stayed at Beach and enjoyed the access. They let you in (also with princess breakfasts) and you are herded through UK to Future World. Good opportunity to get some very nice unobstructed pictures of UK and Canada.
Enjoy!

Thank you so much, sounds great! I have never stayed at the Boardwalk, so I'm not as familiar w/the back entrance and how that all works. I'm really excited to stay there though!

Oh I am so glad you asked this question! We are staying the Yacht Club in June for the first time! We also planned on walking over to Epcot and always like to be there way before the park opens! Let us know how things went on your trip when you get back!

We stayed at the Yacht Club this past Thanksgiving and it was amazing! We walked to Epcot each night for dinner and used the International Gateway. And yes, you can get in through there even if WS is not open yet. we got some great night time pics when WS was closing!!! Have a great trip! (PS - I love that you "pre" Plan! Me too!!!)

Don't forget that at the end of the day at The Studios you can walk back to the resort rather than waiting for a crowded boat. The Boardwalk Villas are the first resort on the path back from The Studios. It's about a 10 minute walk and usually faster than the boats.

Vernonpush,
Is it faster to walk to Yacht Club at the end of the night from MGM? Or should we stick to the boat? We are going in June if that makes a difference.

At the end of the night, the line for boats on more crowded nights is 3-4 boat loads. The walk will save you at least half an hour, probably longer.

If you walk at a "decent" speed, it is always faster to walk than take the boat, unless you happen to hit the boat just right (no more than a 5 minute wait or so and not a lot of people getting on/off)

Decent speed means, not a stroll along the river, but not racewalking either.

Yep, as was said, the International Gateway entrance is open when FW opens.

You walk through UK and Canada, but nothing there is open until the WS opens. You may get some good pictures of the areas "empty" or there may be CM's "setting up" at that time, especialy during F&W
