Ahh haha my friend! lol...I have a way to make it spin! The main support would be the base thingy in the middle (like the silver one Spaceship Earth has)...it would be built into this strong concrete support underground that has some kind of rotation device, allowing the support to support AND rotate and the same time (This wouldn't power the rotation). In the three side/diagonal supports, they wouldn't really support it quite as much as the middle one would. Each of these would be fit with gears and tires (or whatever) that would all turn the same direction, pushing on the globe and making it rotate. These would power the rotation while partially supporting it at the same time. If needed, there could be four of these. If you need a diagram, I'd be happy to make one!
The rotation device you would probably need is a spherical bearing at the base of the structure. This would achieve the necessary effect of allowing smooth rotation and also not speed the structure too fast for health and safety reasons :hammer: . The only problem with this kind of bearing is that it requires a large torque to get the structure rotating, so specially made induction motors may need to be commissioned. They're also a nightmare to maintain!!
For a name for the park... how about... "Disney's Global Celebration"? The "Globe of Nations" would fit right in
Yes.. my mind was quite boggled  It really doesn't even have to spin.. I just thought it would be a kewl effect. Anyways, the name of the park is already "Disney's World Showcase Park".
