I think WannaBelle hit the nail on the head. Maybe larger cities like Chicago, NYC, LA etc have a great variety of foods to pick from. But here in the midwest our variety tends to be
fried
deep fried
really really deep fried (deep fried cheesecake, snickers bars etc)

We do have a great selection of real Italian cooking but not much else..even our Chinese food choices are limited! So we do appreciate the choices we have at Epcot. Can you imagine how families from small towns feel when they arrive?

I guess you are right...I didn't even look at it that way. But to me to spend all the extra money for that food isn't worth it. But I guess when you don't see it everyday it is something new.

I always make sure we get to eat at least once in Germany, for a late lunch usually, but thats because I love the German food and my husband just won't drive hours to the closest authentic German Restaurant. And we are not from a small town to say the least and only about half an hours drive from St. Louis.

We do usually only make one meal a day a nice sit down meal, but it helps everyone to unwind a bit..esp. the kids. But otherwise I don't want to spend my time eatting steak and potatoes..usually grab a burger and fries and eat while we are waiting for a parade, fireworks etc.

Germany's food is wonderfully good, there is something for everyone. I went there on my last trip and the food was amazing, as was the wait staff. I felt kinda bad though because I wasn't to hungry when I went and only ate one plate of food, its a buffet so it was kinda expensive. Also my friends parents/dead uncle paid for the meal so I felt doubly bad. But really the food was amazing and the entertainment was wonderful. I recommend getting there and paying for the lunch buffet, but timing it so you will be there when they bring out the dinner food, its kinda cheating, but our waitress suggested it.

Family differs

We love Canada but my kids love Japan. But to tell you the truth the only World Showcase restaurant we didn't like was Italy. The rest that we've had, were wonderful. I want to try them all but we have problems getting everyone together to try things but the next time we go, I definitley want to try United Kingdom!!!
