World of Color: Feasible at WDW

Actually this would be a really cool thing to do at DTD once the expansion/New Theme is complete. Think of it a new Market and all the things to do see, eat and movies, bowling, Cirque and a free WoC show. That would help make DTD really come alive even more than I think it will be.

Actually, I was thinking Echo Lake in HS but I like your idea better.

Realistically, they aren't going to put such a show at DTD unless they have some way to ticket for it. Maybe if the could tie watching such a show to DQ admission, it might work.

Being practical, I think a more modest type of entertainment -- say, dancing fountains like those at the Bellagio -- would be a nice draw to DTD without the same level of expense.

They've already said that the night-time spectacular in AK is going to be on Discovery River, which will include water screens. So that right there confirms that it's going to be something along the lines of World of Color.

Mist screens can be for anything though. From Fantasmic to Dreams. Even original IllumiNations.

Hopefully there will be more to the show than just mist screens and projections.. Doesn't sound to exciting so far.

Having seen WOC twice, it truly is an amazing sight to see!!!! I'd looove it to be brought to WDW. And if none of the lakes work as they currently stand....build something ;) Before they announced the river of light show for AK, I was hoping that part of the avatar expansion could be an amphitheater for a night show. Build it on that large expansion pad south of camp MM and then you can release guests out to the buses/cars when it's done. Still holding out.....

"live music, floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery all combine to bring a show to Discovery River that will delight our guests and truly cap off their day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom."

They're also gonna start having live performers at night on Discovery Island, along with the night-time safaris.

Im pretty sure they would have mentioned fountains if there were going to be any :(. Sounds like a watered down version of Disney Dreams... but guess we wait and see how this turns out.

Part of me would love to see WoC come to WDW, but part of me wants to leave it at Disneyland. I'm not sure why.

I agree 100% some things are better left at a single park. The fact that WoC, an amazing version of Fantasmic! and rides at DLR that are not at WDW makes me want to spend the money to go to california. DL on the other hand could have kept MSEP!
