World Cup - ByeBye Korea

Well the dream has finally come to an end. Its been a tournament of shocks, heros, controversial decisions and best of all excitement.
It has been a memorable tournament for the English who weren't supposed to get beyond the group stages,
It has been a memorable tournament for the Republic of Ireland who without Roy Keane wouldn't get anywhere,
It has been a memorable tournament for the US, not noted for their soccer skills - but a formidable force in Grid Iron (and everything else they participate in),
BUT - The real heroes have been the Koreans, the underdogs in all games. The country has finally acheived status amongst the footballing greats. And as part hosts of the tournament they have done the worlds premiere game proud.
A fine acheivement and they will be sadly missed.

Not sure your going to get a lot of replies to this! Most people seem to be from the US. Because of my job I get to speak to lots of Americans. Last week, before the US team got knocked out, I was talking to a guy in California. I complimented him on the fact they they'd not been knocked out yet. His response "Are we in the soccer World Cup". :hammer:

Apparently after the last match they won, the release of the Scooby Doo the movie was way higher on the list of news events than the football.

So what do you think! Germany or Brazil. I'd like Brazil to win.

It has been a good tournamant.... ii want Brazil to win cos then we can at least say we got beaten by the champs...whatever happens...its gonna be one hell of a final!

I misread the post before mine. I thought it said "why is no one replying" when it was more like "not going to get many replies"

Jeez so just because this is a Disney forum we can't speak about anything other than Disney - is that right?

When I came across this thread it was in chit chat, I don't know where it started, but Fievel is right, threads in the wrong location nearly always get moved to the appropriate place
Try chilling out a bit.

As far as the original post goes - Hookey - I agree they have been superb, and I think big Guus deserves huge respect for wat he has done with that team.

Well, well, well Mr Perfect - NO the World cup isn't at Disney it is in a distant land called Korea, and some of the other matches have been in a second country - this one is called Japan.

Am I the first to start a post in the wrong location - no ? well strike me down - did you bad mouth those poor unfortunate people aswell. Mmmmmmm. And I'll bet you've never posted in the wrong forum either. BUT WAIT, you've only done eight posts, what do you know ? - are they all as critical as this one ? And whats more you've been a member for three months (good ratio) - Well you've made a great impression.

Disney isn't just about films and cute characters. Did you know that they hold motor racing events, half marathons and flower shows within the "world". Which forum would you like me to post these events on.

If you want to be that picky - this web site is about Disney therefore there should not be a mention of another subject ANYWHERE within it.
