working out for Disney

Hello-

I did an abs and arms workout today and then I went out for a walk. It gets so buggy this time of the year. Bleh.

About a week and a half ago, my grandma entered a nursing home type-place. It was like a studio, no roommate, no shared bathroom, etc. She had to quarantine for 14 days, because she was a new resident. While she was there, she collapsed and hit her head. She had to go the ER, where she was admitted and then discharged to 5 weeks of rehab once she was stabilized. Well, she tested positive for covid today. She is 85 and she has a neurodegenerative disease, so I am thinking this is going to be hard for her to combat. I've not seen her since last Thanksgiving and we really don't want to travel this year. My husband and I simply don't feel confident in air travel right now. Plus, this is popping again in the Chicago area. I couldn't visit her if I wanted to, anyway, since she is in the rehab center. I'm just really angry with whole 💩 show.

This is very sad. Prayers to her and to you and your family. :(

I remember you talking about your turkey haul last year! The pies look delicious. Are they pumpkin or sweet potato?

Your gardening/cleaning day definitely sounds like a workout to me. My back yard is an absolute mess. I gave up in the summer. I just wasn't feeling it.

They're pumpkin with a gluten free crust. I forgot the whipped cream, but I've been pairing mine with some butter pecan rice milk cream, and it's been pretty good.

We had a lot of vines growing up onto the house. I like that look, but unless you're constantly caring and grooming it, it can damage the home, so down they came. Some of it was just weed/junk vine, but if I had the time and energy, the Asiatic Jasmine that was climbing the sides of the house could look really nice.

I'm so sorry about your grandmother and hope her conditions improve. Prayers to you all. We're in a similar situation with my husband's grandmother. Just really would like some real light at the end of the tunnel and some positive outlooks for things.

Good morning. Yesterday's unconventional exercise was playing ball girl. The girls work with a batting coach once a week and each goes through about 6-8 huge buckets of balls during the course of a session. It's done in a netted batting "cage" so not as much running around as there would be on a field, but it's a lot of balls, a lot of bending - squatting - side stepping, and carrying. I'm usually pretty sweaty by the end of it all and can feel it in my hamstrings and glutes.

Work is still crazy, but for everything else, it's kind of our relaxing day...which means it's the day when everything I've put off happens. The schools are going back to doing late arrival on Thursdays, so no rushing out at the crack of dawn and softball schedules have aligned so that nobody has any sort of practices today, unless you count the older one having school softball, but that's right after school and won't impact my non-work time. So, on my free evening, I will be getting candy for kid 1's Halloween tournament, food for the cookout we're doing at kid 2's Halloween tournament, hopefully get that oil change I really need done, and sitting down to watch The Great Pumpkin once I get home. I snagged a Blu Ray set at regular price before the whole world found out about ABC no longer airing the specials.

Did she get Covid in the ER/rehab or from the new facility when she moved in? I'm so sorry this happened! What about your mom....your mom wanted her to live with her, right? Or is this a different grandma?

It seems like she caught in the rehab facility. There are a few others who are positive, too. I thought these places were supposed to take all of these precautions, but I guess not.

This is grandma who was living with my mom. Yesterday was my mom's birthday. I only texted her. I found out that she was financially and physically abusing my grandma. I want nothing to do with her anymore.

Good morning I spent some quality time with LS and will do my practice after a nap. We got all our prep done for the new lockdown regulations we got yesterday we managed to order quite a few things online and my shopping list doesn't look much different from a regular one:joyfull::joyfull: At least there's no restriction on going to the farm market:inlove:

I hope your husband's grandma recovers, too. I know people think this virus isn't a big deal because it's older people who have poor outcomes, but these older people are someone's parent, grandparent, sibling, etc. And, yes, these people have lived a long life, but I know from working in from hospice that passing from pneumonia is painful and having to be ventilated and pass while on a vent sucks--couple that with you can't even be with your loved one when they pass. When did people lose empathy for their fellow humans?

What new lockdown? I haven't been following anything, because I've been busy with family stuff.

Good morning-

I finished week 7 of my 12 week program today. My husband is off today, so we'll get out for a walk later on. I made some homemade granola/muesli this morning, too. It tastes so much better than anything I've ever bought in a box and it took 15 minutes (if that) to put together. It tastes too good, though. LOL

Here are a few cards from two of my tarot decks. The top cards are my new deck, the bottom cards are from my art nouveau deck. they are the same cards, just rendered differently by different artists.

Yeah, I remember you telling us about suspecting the abuse and then you got her to Florida or something, but your mom wanted her to move back in with her, and she wanted to go back? That's why I was wondering if it was the same grandma, because I thought she had gone back to live with your mom and you were really frustrated.
