working out for Disney

We missed the drunk streaker...too hot and humid I guess. Yes, it was amazing. Incredible fireworks, and with the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial as backdrop, it just made it more special. The worst part was boarding the Metro afterward with about a million other people. It took about an hour just to get up to the loading platform, then once we were able to get on a train, it just so happened the one we got on had no lights. Well, lesson learned. No lights, no air. We were packed in like sardines, standing with the door right behind me. I told my wife we had to get off at the next stop as I could not breathe.
At the next stop, I was waiting for the door to open right behind me, and the stupid door actually opened on the other side. I started yelling, "Coming through" and somehow parted the masses and made it out onto the platform, where I passed out right there. My brother and his wife were with us, he got me out of the way and he carried a small backpack cooler that had some melted ice in it and he took my floppy hat and soaked it in the ice water and then poured it on me and got me revived. It was scary. We waited about thirty minutes for me to get it together and cool down and you can bet the train we did get back on had lights, and air.
Anyway, it is worth seeing again, and if they ever change the July 4 celebration to about sometime in October or November, I'm in.

Wow, that's scary. It's a good thing your brother was there with some ice.

Got my bandage off today and it was not nearly as scary as I was expecting!! Now just a few more days with the strips and a regular bandaid and I'll be right as rain! Soooo glad I did this NOW, and now right before vacation!
I walked 5 hours at work last night and I rode my bike to the doctor today to get the bandage off, so I've gotten my exercise in. Tonight is meatloaf and probably corn.

Yes, good thing for certain. It created quite a commotion on the platform, but I came to quickly and we were able to convince many concerned bystanders I did not need medical attention. It was just the heat and out of control high blood sugar. My fault for being in such bad shape and trying to spend that many hours in the blazing heat not being prepared for it.

I am sore today! I did a DVD I hadn't done in years yesterday and I think it worked my muscles in a new way. I only went up to 7 lbs. with the weights! :hilarious:

In our contract, the closing is August 17th and the sellers chose that date. So, yesterday the sellers asked if we could change that. My husband looked into it. But it would require changing our vacation dates, moving dates and car shipping dates. It's going to take three days for the movers to pack up our house and another 2-3 days to get our stuff to NJ. I also checked about moving our vacation time and we would lose the discount we have on the room. So, their agent came back to ours and said they are "disappointed." What? We tried to accommodate them, but it would have cost us more money to adjust our vacation dates. If it wasn't for that, we could have moved closing dates. I don't want to wish the summer away, but I can't wait until this is all behind us.

Today is going to be cardio. I have no idea what yet, because I am a bit sore. :)

Are they going to stick with the 17th?

Impressive. How long did it take him to lose the 10 pounds? That's really a lot of weight, and I don't think he's been dieting all that long, correct?

Hello-

I am done with the cleaning *hurrah*. Tomorrow, I will give everything a quick once over before the photographer gets here. I decided to go for a walk tonight. It was a bit chilly at 64. Yesterday, it was 90. Crazy, but it was beautiful for a walk. I had shorts and a tank top on, so I hustled a bit to create body heat.

Oh, and I went to get my mail today and this jerk wasp wouldn't let me get near the mail box. It kept buzzing me, so I waited until it got dark to get my mail and it was all junk mail anyway--womp, womp. :hilarious:

I am so lazy when my husband is gone. I had a can of seasoned tuna on some lettuce for dinner. Plus, I did not want to mess up my kitchen after cleaning hell for leather-style.:D

Yesterday's little walk before the rain turned into a total of 8 miles(I went out a few times). The rain held off until late afternoon:joyfull: Today LS's 5 advanced miles(done) and both my groups are walking today, then my boys will hit the pool. I may just lounge there, make that will lounge LOL. I also started a 30 day plank challenge as I have just enough time to get it done before I go:joyfull:
