working out for Disney

Yeah and I honestly tried to sound like I wasn't a scold, I was trying to get someone to look it up--either my brother or her. Maybe I should not have said anything, but we know now there is no known amount of alcohol that is safe to drink during pregnancy. My brother is an absolute stoner, too. I do worry about my niece's future with the both of them as her parents. I am hoping they see that having a kid means recognizing something larger than themselves. I mean, they seem like loving parents. My brother is always sending me photos and videos and they seem happy.

This Gf seems much nicer than the last one. She was a professional dominatrix and she sounded abusive. Not everyone likes it when you bring your work home.

It's interesting because it reminds me of a girl I knew back in my symphony days. She was dealing with a major case of nerves and anxiety later on in her pregnancy. There was nothing safe that the dr could prescribe that was effective, so her physician allowed her 1 beer or glass of white wine a few times a week during her third trimester. The difference, aside from being physician approved, is that she got out ahead of it and told everyone exactly what was going on...even going as far as confessing to the potential risks and guilt she felt.

I can understand why you'd worry. It reminds me a bit of my BIL. He and his wife are total stoners and he also drinks heavily. We all worried when we found out my SIL was expecting. I guess at least this GF is not a dom. I would have any number of concerns with that one.

Hello-

I've been doing workouts with olympic lifts with a mix of cardio and regular strength training. The workout I did this AM was quite possibly the hardest workout I've ever done. 💀 But I loved it.

We were supposed to go out tonight, but I am not feeling it. I'm just getting carry outs. While I am feeling totally over my head cold thing, my sinuses are sore and they feel badly today. Maybe it's the change in weather that's coming, maybe it's poor sinus drainage from the cold, but my upper teeth and cheek are feeling sore. This started a couple of hours ago. I cancelled my reservations. I made a cake for today on Sunday and I frosted it today. It looks like a 3rd grader did it and I don't care. I had nowhere to let the crumb coat get firm, so I just went ahead and did it all. It looks like rubbish and I walked away. lol. I am too tired to play with a cake today. I have prohibited my husband and son from taking photos of it.

I booked this crazy vacation package deal at Costco Travel. It's a week at the Arizona Biltmore. It comes with a room upgrade, $100/day resort credit, a car and waived resort and parking fees. It is under $1500. It's in August, that's why it's so cheap. But I like how empty the pools are that time of year. It's really difficult to get a chair in March. lol Anyway, it's a back up resort. We're waiting to see if our preferred resort will have deals at Costco. They usually do, but JIC. Who knows if my husband will even have a job by then, but I staked my claim in case he does. lol

My sinuses behave like that with weather changes...especially ones where there's a significant shift in barometric pressure. I can understand why you'd want to keep it a low key evening. Don't be too hard on yourself with the cake. Just get some rest.

Sounds like a phenomenal vacation deal! We used to look for similar summer deals for Vegas. People avoid the desert in the summer, which leads to great pricing and extra perks. I need to remember this for when we can resume personal travel (vs. softball "vacations").

Happy Friday!

Walking is still consistent but I changed up my weekday route about 2 weeks ago (thanks to a mud situation) that actually gives me better incline/hill work. I can feel and see the difference already in my hamstrings, glutes, and hips, so I guess the mud situation was sort of a blessing. In a nutshell, they were doing construction near a portion of my previously preferred route and when it rains, the constant layer of dirt turns into the mud equivalent of about 1/4 mile of black ice. I'm also happy to report that the rain gear (a sport waterproof windbreaker and water resistant hiking pants) have also made walks on rainy mornings a dry and pleasant experience. Gym last night was standard leg night and elliptical, but the night before was unconventional day. After the elliptical, I did a series of leg exercises that focus on both the lower body muscle groups as well as flexibility and range of motion. Some of the leg swings I was doing end up looking like hinged high kicks from the front and arabesques from the back. Let's just say some of the dancing I've been doing at my desk has done wonders to restore my flexibility. I remember looking up mid set and seeing someone with their jaw on the floor. I also caught someone staring who kept immediately snapping their head away each time I caught them. Tonight is arm day. I had considered waiting until next week to take a break day because the OH drive kept me from working out on Monday, but that was not my original plan and it feels a bit like unnecessary punishment that could feed burnout if I don't go with tomorrow as my intended break day. I'll still walk, but I think I just stick to my original plan and give myself the grace I deserve.

Looking forward to a weekend without travel. Tomorrow, I agreed to help out the school choir and serve as photographer in their pancakes with Santa event. After that, we will finally decorate the interior of this house. Speaking of...I think someone tried to sabotage my outside display for judging. I came out last night and 1/4 of it was dark. I thought maybe a string of lights had shorted out or a connection was loose. It was plausible since animals keep getting into the strings of lights on the trees. No, there were four separate plugs that were completely unplugged. That can't be a coincidence. Of course, I do not have a camera on that part of the yard and I don't want to shift the front one because I'd rather get alerts for delivery people to help discourage porch pirates.
