Workers want pay boost

Assuming you mean because they agreed to the no-strike clause?

Yes of course if the workers ratified (voted in) the contract they could not legally strike until the contract has expired. Once a contract expires then a legal job action (strike, withholding of one’s labor) could be taken. Hope that helps.

Just goes to show you should only believe 1/2 of what you see and nothing of what you hear. Truth about the offer is this.

Topped out workers to receive:
Guaranteed 0.90 cents per hour wage increase over 5 1/2 years
HMO family plan to increase $64 week guaranteed bringing the co pay cost to employees to $177 week
So topped out workers will take a -$1424.00 pay cut per year by the end of the contract.

How about those who currently make $8.00 hr that will go up to $10.00?

Say they are lucky enough to pick up 40 hours a week as they are guaranteed only 32 hrs as Full time employees.
40 hours week equals $400.00
If we take out the cost of healthcare and taxes can anyone explain how a person can survive on less then $175.00 week?

Disney portrays a great Family values image but only if your family is dropping the 8k a week to play there. The real shame of this is we the tax payers will continue to contribute to Disney's bottom line in the form of public assistance for its workers. So yea great offer Disney.

Edit: All this AND the Pension Plan goes away for new employees.

Here is another article you should look at.
