Work on mansion

I really hope this refurb puts a little spice back into what had become a lackluster mansion. I would LOVE the NBC overlay but I also want the attraction itself to get lots of tlc including filling in the gaps in the show scenes, updating audio and lighting, and adding more impressive effects set to be fit for the 21st century.

Oh and if your sn says "new here" it just means that you havent posted enough to be anything else yet. Its done by number of posts.

That would be awesome if they made the Haunted Mansion into the Nightmare Before Christmas for the Halloween season..i would go just for that

My prediction

My prediction: There will actually be a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. This is *pure speculation.* I base it on the following:
1) the upcoming NBC release in 3D to theaters (yes, I know it's been released before, but Disney is actually promoting it this time).
2) The schedule of the refurb coincides with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. If there wasn't going to be anything special besides the refurbitseld, why not schedule the refurb later?

I HATE N.B.C.
I never did understand why anyone liked the movie.

But what ed me off the most was my first trip to Disneyland... and in SUCH desire to experience the park's nostalga, I walked into HM's overlay.

(Might I add that there's nothing more disturbing than to not like a movie... then see the junk plastered all over a Disney classic like HM.)

I went on it anyways, and then really hated it.

The NBC in DL made the HM look like a joke, and not to mention it was to bright in there with it.

The entire Attic has been gutted out. Alot of props including the old pop up ghosts were last seen laying around in the utlidoors area.

I'm with BwanaBob. NBC serves NO purpose on this planet. It is awful.

I would be most perturbed to see such a mess in WDW Haunted Mansion.

I keep thinking more and more the way they say "new spirits" that it may be jack skellington, i wish it wasnt so. I just don't see (or want to see) the two of them together in the haunted mansion... At Christmas time, yes, but not all year, ya know!?

Finally some REALLY good news.

I'll have to go in to MK after work tomorrow and see if there's anything new at the entrance...although I doubt it.

BTW, I'm excited Constance is moving in!!!!! Just from the videos I've seen, she looks great at DL.
I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but are we getting the whole story with the many husbands and their heads getting chopped off since they are basically redoing the attic? I kind of wish they would give us at least a little bit of a different story.

Well if everything goes well we will hopefully have the best Haunted Mansion in the world when it reopens in the fall.

Of course theres always gonna be those that will consider Phantom Manor the best because its a deviation from the other mansions.

I am not sure why everyone is talking about this Nightmare overlay.

The upgrades the HM is getting at WDW has nothing to do with that.
We are finally getting the upgrade DL California got last year.

I am very excited about it too. I got to see it when they opened. The floating Leota is awesome. The lighting and sound effects are to notch.

Well, if they were to move in the Nightmare Before Christmas decor on a PERMANENT basis, then I wouldn't be happy either. I think if they did it around the holidays, like in Disneyland, then that'd be pretty cool.
