Work going on at Imagination? Can anyone verify?

Well, Figment is still pretty prominent... Much of the Food and Wine Festival merchandise has him on it.

Wish they'd also use these guys as well..

Wait! and no character escort either??! What's going on here? Next thing you know they will be repainting Innoventions. Oh, wait... Too late. or taking Ellen out of Ellen's Energy Adventure. Ugh! Fooled again. :banghead:
Well, you know what they say. You can take Ellen out of her Adventure but that still doesn't make it a refurbished ride.
I gotta ask. So if Ellen is in reality and falls asleep and has a dream. Then she is removed from that dream. Is she back in reality, or is she just really lost?
Ok, so we have sworn off the parks for a bit, thanks mostly to the effects of the MB fiasco. I also know there are heavy doses of sarcasm here, so please forgive my naive question: did they actually remove Ellen from Ellen's Energy Adventure? If so, what has replaced that storyline?

No they have not fully removed all of Ellen.. yet... from her adventure. I was making a comment about them removing her from the scene where she was fending off the snake-like dinosaur. And to the fact that it seems like with this ride they are just duct-taping it along. If something breaks they leave it in place. Or with Ellen they just remove it, which in this case makes a bit of an awkward period of silence. If you know the ride and go on it frequently it's very obvious. To those that don't go on it much or have never been on it, not so much. Since I have been on it earlier this year, they have supposedly patch this scene up a bit to kind of help it along. I will have to get new pics in Sept of the area in question.

For me I don't mind the magic band stuff so much. I have had no real issues with them. They work well at park gates and hotels. fast pass works well too. I just dislike the three limit then one extra rule. and the inability to get multiple fast passes across multiple parks for same day in advance. With the system being online I see no reason it cannot span multiple parks. I mean why plan your trip upto 60 days in advance anyway, if you cannot pick multiple parks on same day. To me there is no difference. So we generally do not use fast passes anymore unless there is a ride we really want to do, that we know is a long wait type of ride. However, we generally go once or twice a month anyway so if we miss a certain ride we just try again next time.

Thank you. Haven't been on it for a while now. Seems a lot of patchwork going on across the parks, and too many shuttered buildings/attractions with little explanation and nothing to absorb the # of guests that now have less to choose from.
As to magic bands, I won't debate the effect on the parks (been covered plenty on this site and elsewhere) but I will say they don't work for us. I mean that in the technical way..we visit(ed) often, but for over a year now we have issues with one or more of our party's bands. Rooms don't open, park access disappears, tickets get crossed among people (presumably thanks to a CM's "fix"), FPs disappear, etc. It appears either you have trouble, or you don't (ie, once trouble starts it becomes routine all too often). It's not often a one time occurrence.

I think that if they put Dreamfinder back into the Imagination ride they will opt for a younger Dreamfinder and a younger voice because the character is younger in the comics now. If they did recast Figment, I'd like to see someone come in who could recreate the voice that Billy Barty gave Figment...much more charming than Dave Goelz in my opinion, not to impugn his voice...but I just like Billy Barty much better.

I wouldn't mind the same audio track but update the entire ride for the 21st Century.

If it makes anyone feel better, if I hit PowerBall or MegaMillions (over 100 million) I will gladly sponsor Imagination and have it restored to its original glory.

Side note on sponsorship on a personal level. *Mods, please delete this section if inappropriate* I am doing a 24 Hour bike ride to raise money for the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Am I allowed to post a link asking for help? If not, if anyone wants to help, please PM. Thanks in advance.

I could go with that as an interim measure. As much as I miss the original, I feel like too much time has gone by to simply "put it back the way it was" with updated tech.

It needs a new story with the old characters. Preferably a ride and story that's easily adapted and changeable over time. (If there was ever a concept that deserved one of the trackless systems it would be this one. To bad that's not likely unless they gut the building.)

I recall seeing an overlay of the new ride track as compared to the old one. I am amazed at how much of the original track was hidden. That is a lot of ride length to lose.
