Exactly. LOL

Though to be fair, there's a decent variety of all foods, IMHO (compared to the past, I think they've at least tried to offer some more variety). The matter of some of them being edible though ... but DHS has a very very weak lineup for QS quickly followed or tied with the MK. Certain places are better than others of course, etc. ....
MK at least has some decent offerings.... DHS is mostly mediocre at best, and automatically loses points for the very existance of ABC Commissary.

Smartwater at $4.50!? That's moronic.

The price of SmartWater has been rising little by little since it was first introduced at WDW. I think it was around $2.50 originally. Given it's available as a dining plan snack or QS drink I imagine that's when most are purchased!

Ridiculously, here in the UK, a bottle of SmartWater runs around 60p (less than $1). And it's even spring water here, not filtered tap water.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think that this is really great. The choice to have this location serve meals that play on typical lunch box food was a really good one.

This may be the first truly positive thing that I've ever said about TSL. Save this post, @Kman101!

Although, I don't like the thought that we're scavaging Andy's leftovers from a lunchbox he left out in his yard... ;)

If I read it right, they are tater tots. (Potato barrels) Beyond excited for a version of DL Monte Cristo. It looks like a good variety!
I'd be excited for a Monte Cristo like the DL one - but sadly, I doubt that this will be. At DL it's a TS where food is cooked to order. In TSL I'm sure they will be mass-produced somewhere else, brought in pre-made, and reheated on site. I hope I'm wrong...

Considering it is nearly half the price of the Monte Cristo at Disneyland (and includes a side!), that's probably a safe guess. But... it's nearly half the price so that's an actual surprise.

Monte Cristos are also available at BoG for lunch and Les Halles Pattiserie. They're called 'croque monsieur.'

That's interesting, because I am a VERY picky eater but found multiple things on there I would eat.
There are a few I'd love to taste too.

Sames. This looks pretty awesome to me, The Monte Cristo and the Tater tot stuff is calling to me. I like the Banana Yogurt parfait thing too!! Marie
I liked the Banana Parfait thing too! :hungry:

If anyone is looking for me I will be in line for the S'more French Toast. :)

Yep, the S'more French Toast is now on our Bucket List too!

Yes, but, it is at BoG, so guests swoon all over it...although they can make the same darn thing in their own darn house for about 1/30th the price... :cyclops:

Likely nobody is going to argue staying home and making the same darn thing in their own darn house is cheaper. Me I am a Disney Enthusiast and that includes paying more to leave my own darn house.

Even a cheaper vacation, hunt a turkey with a bow n arrow, or go deer hunting. Cheap eat'ns

To each their own lifestyle. ;)

Croque Monsieur is litrally just a grilled cheese with ham.

Whadya think a Monte Cristo is?

"A Monte Cristo is a fried ham and cheese sandwich, a variation of the French croque-monsieur." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Cristo_sandwich
"A croque monsieur ... is a baked or fried boiled ham and cheese sandwich. ... Variations... In the United States, the Monte Cristo, a ham-and-cheese sandwich often dipped in egg and fried, is popular diner fare, and a 'grilled cheese sandwich' is a classic sandwich that has been enjoyed at home and in cafeteria-style restaurants since the Great Depression. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croque_monsieur

The entirety of a Monte Cristo is dipped in egg before being fried, which makes for a decent difference in taste and texture.

The fact that each sandwich has its own article should tell you that they are different sandwiches.

Or that both articles saying that they're variants of each other might say that there isn't a hard and fast rule about which is which and regional variations abound.
