Wonders of Life to close?

Don't kill me, but ....

:sohappy:

Cranium Command is worth going every once in a while. Hopefully the entire pavilion will be scrapped for a future pavilion.

Of course, the Wonders of Life is a sound Pavilion Idea, maybe they will redo the place someday.

But seeing how it will be seasonal, it sounds like there are no immediate plans to do anything.

hmm I can see where this could happen since last time I was in there after epcot opened in the morning I think there was maybe 30 people in the entire place. This was a good 3 hrs after bing opened.

But this has been hashed just like living seas. It needs updated

Ya! Time Racers or Storm Rider!
I would not be surprised if this is the next overhaul after TLS.
(Please let TLS be the next overhaul).

I agree that the pavillion needs a dramatic makeover. I just hope this doesnt turn into a Horizons type situation. Where the pavillion fluctuates between open and closed all the time. I feel the same way about CoP and Timekeeper. I wish those were open all the time.

I find it interesting that everyone here (myself included) really has no heart-strings attached to this pavilian. I never really liked it as Body Wars was an outdated exhibit the second they installed it- Cranium Command was cool... but....

Compare this to the lamentation of Horizons, Mr. Toad and World of Motion... Few people would be utterly devestated if Wonders of Life was replaced. Too bad that they couldn't have removed this one instead of one of the true classics.

Does anyone disagree? I'm curious.

Well, besides the fact that they are in different parks, I would trade WOL for Mr. Toad any day.
BTW I thought Cranium Command was good for a laugh.

Agreed, either close it or leave it opened. Don't let it die a slow death.
CoP belongs in Epcot, but I don't think that will ever happen.
I agree that both should be kept open all the time.

You make a valid point. It's more like the removal of Mission to Mars. It was outdated and not very interesting. Really, after a few visits to WoL, there is nothing to keep you coming back. At least at Star Tours you have an awesome queue and franchise to get excited about, plus the ride is better than Body Wars anyway.

Even though Cranium Command is nice, all the actors in it are very outdated. Even the school scenes in the movie are rather outdated.

Sure, I know... WoL saving grace is 'The Making of Me' but we will just have to move on. :brick:

I guess this means no more Surprise Body Wars Fastpasses at Mission Space.

I love the place!!!! Call me crazy but I especialy like Body Wars!!!!

:hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

   By the time I'll visit again there will probably be construction for a new pavilion!

I'm hoping this is false info!

So I see that it will close on January 5th, so on that day......

TIME TO PARTY! :D

Wow, this is some exciting news. I tell ya, I hate that place. As a matter of fact when I was there only two weeks ago I said to myself I vow to never return to WoL until something new is there, so i've already taken my last Body Wars ride. They could move Carousel of Progress there though, make it some sort of "Horizons" pavillion maybe? Or how about Natural Disasters or Weather?

You either open it or close it and replace it...this whole open seasonally thing is annoying as heck....I personally do not like WoL Pavilion and would be quick to give it a rehab even before The Living Seas...they should put a nice sized coaster in there...maybe something directly relating to the human body...(ex. have a huge representation of a heart and have the coaster tracks be veins...the cars being the blood cells....) Pre and Post show can deal directly with health and stuff like that and Body Wars or a replacement could be part of the post show.....just some thoughts....

I've always liked Cranium Command, but even a die-hard Disneyphile like me can be hard-pressed to spend more than a half hour in the WOL pavilion. I think it needs updating and refreshing. I agree, however, that the whole "open seasonally" ploy is just stalling for time until a major refurbishment. Close it completely, re-do it thoroughly, and RE-OPEN IT!!!

It's kind of strange that we have not heard anything about TLS closing down or going seasonal since all the rumors have been about that attraction getting the big overhauls.

Half the fun of Cranium Command is that it IS so dated. I think it has some of the best humor in all of WDW. It makes me laugh every time I see it.

I agree that WoL could use an overhaul, but I hope they don't close it permanently. And the seasonal thing just doesn't work for me.

To me the best thing about WOL was the yogurt and ice cream stand inside. But that is about the only thing that I would like to see stay. The attractions are ok, but they are not something that you go back to see. I could definitely survive without them.
