While many people do not like WoL's new next door neighbor, tearing down and rebuilding was the right choice for what they built. Shoehorning M:S into Horizons would not have gone well.

thought you were referring to WoM as looking towards, so i was referring to UoE...... just now got what you meant by '2nd neighbor'

Building from scratch is not always more expensive than remodeling an existing structure. (just ask NASA) Depending on the final product, it can often be less. It all depends on what will go in the building, what changes will have to be made, and a million other little details.

truth - variables either way
... as a good attaction's a good attraction in either situation

In the world of development, it often is economically unfeasible to demolish buildings unless taxpayer subsidies in the form of TIF financing are approved. Even then, the costs to demolish can be so outrageous that it often makes more sense to retrofit (just ask the city of St. Paul).

Disney is a different beast, though, so I digress. I just had to put my preservationist hat on for a moment. :)

If WoL is going to become a "guest facility" soon, since Cranium Command is still intact, could they possibly reopen that on busy days a la Stitch?

Reading between the lines there seems to be more of a train of thought of "how do we utilise what we have" as opposed to "let’s demolish everything and have no money left to add anything".

Radical I know.
Did anyone else pick up on an Inside Out reference here by Martin? Maybe I'm reading too far between the lines, but didn't the creators of Inside Out pitch a Train of Thought ride concept to WDI?

Do you have the article link that explains the Train Of Thought ride. It sounds very interesting and I’d like to read what the Inside Out creators pitched. Thank you very much :)
