Most of the Wonder sailings out of Galveston this fall have a "special" for 1/2 off the deposit plus onboard credits depending on category booked. Must be booked by the end of June. Code is "WON". I was browsing just out of curiosity and noticed this also applies to category 00T. THAT is unusual! Not that my "cruise career" is so vast but I don't think I've ever noticed any sort of discount or special that applies into the concierge category(s). VERY interesting. No, I'm not booking one. :D

That is kind of crazy. Specials never apply to those. Are you sure you're not booking? Lol

As much as I have to AGREE with your statement that I was made for the suites... LOL! ...I'm absolutely sure I'm not booking. If it was the Magic post-drydock in Galveston then it'd be on. Plus, I'm still too chicken that Disney will throw a KSF on Galveston again. I don't ever want to do a KSF again if I can avoid it. ;)

Lol! That proves you're made for suites! Most people beg for KSF! You avoid them and they don't apply to suites! :)

Well, after my first cruise ever recently on the Wonder, I must say that I quite fell in love with the ship and especially some of the elements that are going to be changed on the Magic. I thought Route 66 was brilliantly themed and the Cadillac Lounge was one of the prettiest bars (if not the prettiest) that I have ever seen. I thought Beach Blanket Buffet had a very cute theme. So I would jump at a chance to the see the classic Wonder again! I also thought that the ship was in excellent shape when we were on it. I only saw a little rust on the outside of our porthole, but nowhere else on the ship...

Our last cruise on April 26th was Kids Sail Free, and I didn't think it was bad at all. They were thick as thieves the first day or two, but then it wasn't bad at all.

We typically sail during times when school is in session without the KSF promo. The KSF sailing was quite different for us. Much different dynamic. Vibe on the Magic in early-ish May 2012 had like 40-something teens total. Vibe on the Magic in mid-January 2013 w/KSF had more than double that number. Both sailings we had second seating dinner. KSF was very chaotic and loud compared to without. Brian, our younger son, has always been sensitive to prolonged loud background noise. The year he had a laid back teacher who let the kids just hang out & talk after they finished assignments he brought home most of his school work to do in peace and his grades did slip. During the KSF sailing dinners he often sat with his hands over his ears. KSF was a noticeable difference for us from when we sailed the same ship without that promo. Particularly if we are looking to sail without our kids, I would not book on a KSF sailing again. :D

I have 4 future sailings booked with DCL (I think). 2 are "dummy" bookings. None are out of Galveston. ;)
