I am debating where to stay during our next (7day) trip in Sept.-Oct. I was going to go with a delux room at the WL. We will be traveling with our DD who will be 6 & DS who will be 7. I was leaning towards the delux room at the WL due to the french doors that can seperate the sitting area for napping purposes.
My DH however likes the idea of the Monorail at the Poly. I found a web site today that had room layouts for both locations. According to this site a delux room at WL is approx 500 sq. ft. and a standard room at the Poly is approx 407 sq. ft., which is not a huge difference.
The delux room is roughly $1,200.00 more for the 7 days. So now I am left with the french doors to seperate for napping v/s Monorail.:veryconfu
Any expert advice? Please!!
Here I am, beating the drum again for FW cabins. They are hotel rooms that just look like cabins, complete with full size range, microwave, ref., DISHWASHER, and complete maid service everyday. There is an ice maker, coffee maker and coffee, dishes, pot and pans, silverware etc...if you decide to cook. Outside, off the porch there is a grill to cook out on and a picnic table to eat a meal on. There can be no doubt about it....when you stay in a cabin, you are not roughing it. There is a
seperate bedroom with a full size bed and bunk beds, and in the living room there is a "murphey" bed, pull it down to sleep at night, or nap, and put it back up during the day so the whole living room is free. The LR and BR both have TV's and VCR's or DVD players, depending on if they have them all upgraded by now.
There is a marina for the launch to the MK, WL or Cont. Hotel. It is a quick trip to the MK and from there you can take the monorail anywhere else. There is an internal bus system to take you around the campground and an external bus system to take you to places the boat or monorail don't. There is a beach with a great view of the MK fireworks and the electric parade each night, boat rentals, bike rentals, paddleboat rentals, a Disney drive in movie each and every night complete with smores, golf cart rentals, a petting zoo, the horse barns (yes, you can walk thru) where the Disney trolley horses are stabled. There are two pools, walking trails, play grounds, basketball and volleyball nets. It is tree lined and very quiet, a great place to stay. I love it there...can you tell?
I think the price is in line with WL, I think we have paid 300 or so per night to stay in the past. The golf cart rental and all the other rental things cost extra and you get them at the bike barn. I love to rent (reserve early, they go fast) a golf cart for our stay because it is fun to drive around the grounds and if you need to shop for something you don't have to walk with grocery bags etc...They also have mini-marts (Disney) of course. The drive in movie is also a blast, chip and dale are there and the movie changes everynight. Look it up if you want, I can't think of a reason not to like the cabins!
