WL or GF?

My family and I will be visiting WDW in July. My brother and I have a different choice...in what wdw resort to stay in. I have decided to ask you guys...the experts. Price is not really an issue, I say the GF and he says the WL. Which is better?

I vote for the WL too......Great place to stay and you don't have all the tourists that go to the GL "just to see it." Last time we stayed at the WL we headed for the boat back right before the MK fireworks....got to watch them from the boat....truly spectacular!

We already stayed at the Poly last summer...and did not really like it...we were comparing it to the GF all the time. Like the service for example...we stayed at the Poly Concierge and we did not like it.... because a few months before we had stayed at the GF Main Building Concierge...AKA. The Royal Palm Club.

Since the GF is probably "the top" resort at WDW you really can't compare the others to it. You need to see each resort for its own merits. The Polynesian is a beautiful resort, but not our favorite. I've never stayed at the GF and probably never will (unless somebody gives me a free trip and reserves rooms there). We have visited it, but its just not our taste. Given my choice, I'll almost always stay at the WL, but thats just me.

Thats what I love about the resorts at WDW...there is something for everyone! :)

We saw that once too...beautiful! Another great trip is to head back to the MK at just about sunset...so beautiful and romantic. :animwink:

Nothing beats the lodge, you are totally immersed in the enviroment, and even though it's location is not as convenient as GF, you feel like you are in a totally different world. It's a great way to seperate yourself from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Very relazing, casual, romantic, fun...i could go on!
