I started crying when I read the results, I was so relieved. This was our fourth and final attempt - we won by about 500 votes. :sohappy::sohappy:So for the next five years at least, nothing has to change. And for my son in particular that is an EXCELLENT thing. :sohappy::sohappy:
Monday night is when they vote to see if our school will be closing. Everyone I have talked to says it is already a done deal. I hope not.Good morning Susan! Thank you!!

I know they put off the voting here for a week (that is why they vote on Monday) but I just wish they would make up their minds.They're still coming up with different plans here Susan, and Dave might end up retiring after all. I love how they hold your future in their hands.
Ours is about to retire so he really doesn't care one way or the other.
Besides that I don't think he even lives in our district.:hammer:

I'm sorry guys - I hope you get your school situations resolved quickly also. I honestly didn't hold out a lot of hope for ours, that's why I am so happy today.
I'm heading off to the shower - DH is home, and we're going out to lunch today, along with car shopping. I'll talk to everyone later!

The main one is that several yrs ago they rebuilt all the elem schools but 2 of them, Ours and one other. So they are more run down and needing repairs. Plus the kids that they want to put in this building can't be around other schools by 1000 ft..(that is the kids that will be coming to the school behind me is kids that have problems like taking weapons,drugs, fighting.)

I know. That is why is worries me so much. My DD will be okay but I might still have problems.
